Lydia's class, hyped up on donuts before reading time...
Fathers Are Needed (FAN), or The FAN Club, is an organization whose main purpose is to get fathers engaged in reading to their child's elementary class.
In 2007 my daughter Amber entered preschool. She had some challenges adapting to her new environment, so I made the decision to come and read to her class every week. I have been reading to Amber’s class ever since and this year I also began reading to my daughter Lydia's preschool class. Twice a week I take 20 minutes out of my day to show my daughters that they are important enough for me to giv

Amber's 2nd grade class. We read the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe throughout the school year. I would try and read a chapter every week. Only took 15-20 mins of my time but I made many lasting friends and memories.

The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe had so many colorful characters and it was fun to read with many different accents to keep the kids engaged.

My daughter Lydia's kindergarten class. Every Friday I would go in and let the kids choose three books for me to read. Not sure why Lydia is wearing an elf hat. :)
