It was so great to see all of you on open house. No instruments needed on Monday. 7th and 8th graders will be playing on Tuesday. 6th graders won’t play until next week.

8th graders, don't forget about your playing test tomorrow! Dut dut, number 3, and number 4 must be memorized.

6th grade will have a test on number 1 in the book on Wednesday.

7th grade will have a note and fi*****ng test on this coming wednesday as well.

Hey guys,

Hopefully everyone is staying warm. I have emailed and sent flyers home with students about our Instrumental clinic on Saturday, the 28th. I hope everyone is planning on sending their child to this. It's going to be an awesome experience for the kids. They will get some great information and hear great playing from some of the best professional players in our region. If you would like more information, email me and I will be happy to send you the flyer again.

I have told the students that if they bring in their $10.00 for registration by Monday, I will give them 2 free 100's as playing test grades.

Along with all this, if you still have the schedule that was given out at the beginning of the year, you know that on March 3rd, we are having our MPA prep concert. This is a required performance for 8th grade ONLY. Please be there at 6:30 with your orange polo shirt and khaki pants on.

To all parents,
Please remember that your student's instrument should be going home every night. In finishing grades there were many students who's grade was brought down because of how often they leave their instrument at school over night.

Along with that, we have many students having trouble with learning how to read music. There is a direct connection between ease of reading music and amount of practice at student gets. It makes a huge difference in how enjoyable a child finds class and how much they practice. Students who don't practice get frustrated because they don't grasp the information because they've never used it on their own.

Please make sure your child is practicing!

Hope all are well.
To all parents, we will be having "small ensemble days" after school until 4:15 on Tuesdays. Had a bunch of kids who showed interest but didn't come last week. If your child is interested, have them join us. These ensembles will have multiple performance opportunities this semester.
