Our adult heavy equipment students enjoyed the opportunity to visit the site of the future Amazon warehouse in Bellefonte. A big shout-out to Sippel Development Co., Inc. for taking the time to show some future Heavy Equipment Operators around their site.

Yesterday's site development project visit.The topic of discussion was how to read grade stakes and checking grade. It was great to teach this lesson on an actual job site. Big thanks to EBY Paving & Construction for allowing us to visit.

Happy Halloween!!! This is a great opportunity to visit our lab, operate our heavy equipment simulator, watch student demonstrations, and speak with our instructors.
All application fees will be waived as well.

A few weeks ago the Adult HEO class attended a PA One Call Safety Seminar. It included multiple speakers and demonstrations on Trench Safety, Soil Classification, Utility Locating, Power Line Safety, and more. We enjoy the opportunity to learn from a variety of industry experts.

Come out tomorrow, Saturday Sept 30th, to check out our Heavy Equipment Operations Simulator. This thing is fun (but also a great trainer) for all ages, ladies & gents. No experience required. We'll have our instructor on hand if you have questions about the program. Looking forward to seeing you at the Colonnade between 10am-3pm!

Today we took delivery of our new Komatsu D39EX Dozer. This machine will be getting our GPS system installed onto it soon. Excited to start training students with some new technology.

Be sure to stop and check out this community service project that was completed by the recently graduated class at the Centre County Grange Encampment and Fair dairy barns. It consisted of demolishing the old wash rack, locating and relocating utilities, stripping topsoil, placing & grading stone, measuring & staking out the new wash rack, then finish grading it all after the concrete work was completed. I'm proud of these young men and how this project turned out.
