Today Little Saints Preschool is announcing the retirement of one of our beloved teachers, Ms. Lee. Over the past 20 years, Lee has been a tremendous asset to our school, touching the lives of countless children and families. Lee was instrumental in helping us open the doors to our brand-new preschool back in 2006. Throughout her 20 years at Little Saints, Lee was always thinking outside the box. Whether it was creating science experiments, making “pink ink” during Dr. Suess week, or painting with anything except a paintbrush, Lee’s creativity always shone through. Lee enjoyed playing games with the children, letting her competitive spirt shine, even when her competitors were only 4 years old. The children looked forward to warm spring weather when they could go outside in the morning with Ms. Lee and play on the playground while listening to her music.
On a personal note, Lee and I have shared far more than just our years at Little Saints. Before opening the preschool together, we worked side by side for two years at St. John's Academy and eight years at Christ Child Nursery School. Even before that, we first met while working at Kids Turf Daycare back in 1991. We've spent 35 years working alongside each other, and we've shared much more than just a workplace. I was fortunate enough to be there when Lee married Pat, and she watched both of my children grow up.
Now it's finally time for Lee to enjoy a well-deserved retirement. It's time to take some time for yourself, watch all three hours of the Today Show without interruption, and work on your tan. I've noticed you've been looking a little pale lately!
Lee, the Little Saints family wishes you nothing but happiness, good health, and true enjoyment in this next chapter of your life. You will be deeply missed.
