October is National Principals Month
The CV-TEC Division is proud to recognize and honor our campus principals in celebration of National Principals Month. Their expertise and dedication are truly appreciated, and their hard work does not go unnoticed. On October 1, 2026 more than 250 distinguished guests joined nearly 400 CV-TEC young professionals and team members to celebrate a once-in-a-generation milestone: the opening of our new state-of-the-art CV-TEC CTE Center.
Our featured speakers inspired us, including CV-TEC young professional and NYS SkillsUSA Officer, Bailey Douglas (AVCS). Our CV-TEC Alumni co-hosts, Zoee Corrigan and Gavin Yestremski made us proud. The energy throughout the building was electric.
Then came a moment none of us will forget.
With the entire audience watching, CV-TEC Welding program young professionals Lauren LaPierre of Northeastern Clinton Central School and Rowan Brunet of Northern Adirondack Central School lit their cutting torch and sliced through a custom aluminum ribbon, officially opening a space designed to transform futures for generations to come.
Standing alongside them were our featured speakers and co-hosts, CVES administrators, Board members, New York State Education Department leaders, including Commissioner Dr. Betty A. Rosa, and CV-TEC young professionals & team members, all united in celebrating a shared commitment to the future of career and technical education.
Following the ceremony, our young professionals welcomed guests into the building, leading 13 guided tours and proudly showcasing the innovative learning spaces, industry-standard equipment, and authentic career-connected experiences that define CV-TEC.
This building was created for young professionals. On Thursday, they didn't just fill it, they led it.
