We're so excited to announce that CV-TEC is an inaugural partner in Industry Ready NY, a new statewide initiative designed to strengthen workforce pathways by connecting CTE young professionals with hands-on learning experiences, industry mentors, and workforce opportunities. The initiative aims to increase career placement, strengthen regional talent pipelines, and support long-term economic growth.

By partnering with industry leaders and education providers across New York, we're helping build the skilled workforce our communities need today and tomorrow.

🌟 Celebrating Excellence at the CV-TEC Mineville Campus! 🌟
We are proud to recognize our Pre-CTE Exploration young professionals at the Mineville Campus as they showcased their learning during their recent Capstone Presentations!
Over the course of the school year, these young professionals have engaged in hands-on learning through rotations in: Construction Trades, Automotive Technology, and Natural Resources Management.
In addition, they have demonstrated a strong commitment to their community through several meaningful community service projects, further strengthening their teamwork, responsibility, and leadership skills.
Their capstone presentations were a true reflection of the knowledge and skills they have developed, along with their confidence, creativity, and pride in their work.
We commend our young professionals for their dedication and growth, and we thank our amazing teacher, Ms. Otto and amazing teacher assistant, Ms. Comes for their continued guidance and support.
We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished and look forward to the bright futures ahead!

CV-TEC Celebrates Future Workforce at Dual SkillsUSA Signing Day Events
The CV-TEC Division of Champlain Valley Educational Services (CVES) proudly celebrated the achievements of its young professionals during two recent SkillsUSA Signing Day events, recognizing their commitments to careers in the skilled trades, advanced training programs, and post-secondary education pathways.
Hosted at the CV-TEC Mineville and Plattsburgh campuses, these events were part of a nationwide SkillsUSA initiative that highlights the next generation of skilled professionals, and the critical role Career and Technical Education (CTE) plays in strengthening the U.S. workforce. SkillsUSA National Signing Day events across the country celebrate young professionals as they sign letters of intent for employment, apprenticeships, or continued education in technical fields.
These celebrations underscore the importance of CTE in addressing the nation’s skills gap—ensuring students are prepared with the technical, workplace, and leadership skills needed to meet workforce demands.

Young professionals from SkillsUSA and the Natural Resources Management Program were honored for their dedication, growth, and success throughout the school year. Their commitment to developing technical skills, leadership, and career readiness continues to set the standard for excellence across CV-TEC.
From competition achievements to hands-on program milestones, this evening highlighted the hard work and determination that define our young professionals—and the bright futures ahead of them. Congratulations to all award recipients and thank you to our industry expert teachers & team members, families, and business & industry partners who support and inspire this important work every day.

Today, we had the privilege of officially signing Nathan to the CB ELECTRIC team as a full-time employee at CV-TEC Skills Sign On Day.
Nathan has already demonstrated a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and an impressive level of knowledge in the electrical field. His dedication to learning and growing in the trade has been evident from day one.
We are proud of everything Nathan has accomplished so far and look forward to watching him continue to develop his skills and build a successful career with our team.
