*People continue to fall back on harmful assumptions about the link between body shape and personality. Having a first hand experienced stereotypical comments towards her body type, that is why this speaking event will help her speak up for all those who are going through this issue and give support to them.

* She wants to speak on this topic as the negative potrayal of the middle east by American media is often believed by American citizens, Since she has come to the US, stereotypical questions such as ' How come you speak English?' or ' Why don't you wear a burqa' are constantly thrown at her. She wants to help people realize that not everything they hear in the media is true and eventually help change their negative conclusions about the Middle East.*
