Melcher Hall kicked off the year with Hall Involvement Team Pancake Taco Bar! 🥞🌮 Residents stopped by to create their own pancake tacos, enjoy a fun treat, and learn more about HIT and how to get involved throughout the year.

Interested in getting involved? The first Melcher-Porter HIT meeting will be held on September 22 in the Melcher Hall basement. We hope to see you there!

Hi Pioneers! Kicking off our first staff spotlight of the semester is...⭐Dylan Hackel! ⭐From Kaukauna, WI, Dylan is a Sophomore Electrical Engineering major and 1st year ResLife staff member. He is currently a Resident Assistant and was nominated for being an exemplary RA who is always doing great work and striving for quality output. He is very thoughtful and considering of everyone and makes great food.

When asked why he applied for his role Dylan said, "I applied for the role because the role because the experience provided to me by my freshman year RA Ayden Burger was so impactful that I wanted to be a part of facilitating that experience for others. I love being a resource to others and being an RA on campus was the best way to get involved and make an impact on others in our community at UWP."

Dylan has enjoyed the community building aspect of Residence Life. He also said, " It has been an amazing experience to come together with such a great group of outstanding individuals to plan and improve upon how to ensure that UWP feels like home to everyone." A fun fact about Dylan is that he loves to cook and bake. He is always interested in new recipes or suggestions. If you see him around feel free to share any you have with him! Dylan also loves to play the card game Euchre and is one of the top ranked players on World of Card Games!!

Join us this Friday for Melcher Hall’s Friday Night Club Carnival! Enjoy carnival games, face painting, popcorn, cotton candy, and plenty of prizes. Admission includes eight game tickets, and additional tickets can be earned by donating canned food items or $2 to Pioneer Provisions. Come have fun while supporting a great cause this Friday from 6-8pm!

All mail delivered by USPS will still come directly to the Halls. All other packages will be delivered to the Glenview Commons Package Center. This does not apply to Rountree Commons students, you will still be receiving your packages directly.

- Southwest Hall is available for renting at $125 a week! If you are taking summer classes or have and internship/job or just looking for a place to stay in Platteville, you can stay with us at Southwest Hall!
- Want to rent a loft for next school year? Make sure to sign up to secure yours today!
- Do you want to move in early next school year? Do you want to help other students? Welcome Crew has their applications open for Fall 2026! Sign up on our SharePoint page!
- Reminder, move in will be here before you know it! New Students move in: Aug 29th, 8a.m. - 2p.m. Returning Students move in: Aug 30th & Aug 31st, 10a.m. - 2p.m.
- Make sure sign up for your New Student Experience Orientation Day! All new students and their guests are welcome to sign up for an overnight stay the night prior to their orientation, In one of our suit-style residence halls.
