The mission of the Plato R-V School District, in a cooperative effort with parents, students, and community is to: create, motivate, and educate lifelong learners...everyone, everyday! Plato, Missouri
Plato is an incorporated village in northwestern Texas County, It is located about 20 miles northwest of Houston, Missouri and 10 miles south of Fort Leonard Wood on Route 32. The community was founded in 1874 and is named after the ancient Greek philosopher, Plato. It is the birthplace of screenwriter, Josh Senter, who is known for his work on Desperate Housewives. Census, Plato became the national mean center of United States population. The Census Bureau installed a commemorative "geodetic control mark" near the gazebo in downtown Plato during a dedication ceremony in May 2011. This survey disc will be used by satellites and land surveyors to conduct scientific surveys to generate precise position data that serve as the foundation for accurate mapping and charting in America

Plato Varsity Eagles Defeat Stoutland Varsity Tigers Behind Strong Performance From Chase Mears

Chase Mears struck out 12 batters as the hurler led Plato Varsity Eagles past Stoutland Varsity Tigers 7-4 on Friday. Mears allowed two hits and four runs over five innings while walking one.

Plato Varsity Eagles got on the board in the top of the fourth inning after Josh Evans singled, scoring one run, Leland Robinson singled, scoring two runs, and Mike Copley laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring two runs.

Riley Bench took the loss for Stoutland Varsity Tigers. The hurler went six innings, surrendering seven runs (six earned) on nine hits, striking out 10 and walking two. Cole Chastain collected the save.

Plato Varsity Eagles piled up nine hits in the game. Robinson led Plato Varsity Eagles with two runs batted in. The left fielder went 1-for-3 on the day. Maddox Mears went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Plato Varsity Eagles in hits. Levi Crewse collected two hits for Plato Varsity Eagles in four at bats. Plato Varsity Eagles turned one double play in the game.

Kameron Brent led Stoutland Varsity Tigers with one run batted in. Leadoff hitter Brodie Millsap led Stoutland Varsity Tigers with two hits in three at bats.
