Since 1997 the Culpepper Journalism Foundation honors Dr. Alyce Culpepper who encourages underclass students to expand their skills at summer college journalism programs and return to their schools the next year as mentors to their staffs.

So many journalism students excel in other arts such as Val Moranto. On journalism trips to New York we always attended a Broadway play because we encouraged "the more you know about the arts makes you a better writer." All Paladins and many others are proud to see her success including on stage and TV.
