For me, life’s a lot better collecting places instead of things.
I’d rather have countless memories all over the world than endless amounts of materialistic items that end up collecting dust.
Collecting places means I have more to share with my students too!

Mission complete. 🙌🏻
Watching the Artemis II splashdown was the perfect way to end this incredible journey around the moon for my students.
Their mission may be complete, but stick around because I share lots of ideas on how to teach kids about the world and beyond. ❤️
What if your students ran their space station on their own?
All day long, my students pretended to be in their space shuttle while I remained back on Earth.
But truthfully, I was only 5 feet away the whole time.
Avoiding eye contact with them, and using our radio and headset to communicate, helped these future astronauts feel like they were thousands of miles away.
They had all their supplies for the day, and I never needed to cross over to their side of the room.
Parents sent video messages congratulating them on a successful year in kindergarten and trip to the moon.
This day was about teamwork and communication.
Find out next how to successfully complete a mission like this. ❤️🚀
My astronauts have launched into space without me.
It may have been a rough takeoff for some, but stay tuned to see what happens next on the spacecraft…and for ideas on how to implement this day in your classroom!
My students are flying to the Moon…but there’s a catch:
❌ I’m NOT going with them!
It will be a true test in teamwork and communication to get to the moon and back before dismissal without me.
Stay tuned to see how these 5-6 year old astronauts handled their takeoff and navigated through the day on their own. 🙌🏻
If my students are pretending to go to the moon, then we’re going all in!
Each astronaut arrived in their NASA uniform, with an official mission ID, and special role to help the crew succeed.
We have commanders, pilots, engineers, mission specialists, alien ambassadors, and communications officers, all prepared for their journey to outer space.
One of my favorite things about immersive learning is watching kids fully step into the experience.
For a little while, they stop being students and start becoming explorers, problem-solvers, and adventurers.
The excitement, teamwork, and imagination were out of this world. đź’«
The mission is just beginning.
Stay tuned for when they board the spacecraft. 🚀
What do you think of this kindergarten classroom tuned into a spaceship?
This might be my favorite classroom transformation yet!
🚀The spaceship is ready…just waiting for the crew to arrive.
Follow along to see what happens next!
I’ve decided that launching students into outer space is the best way to end the school year…so I turned our classroom into a space shuttle.
This is definitely the most unique setup we’ve ever had and I can’t wait for my students to see it!
Stay tuned for the full reveal!
These kids have used their imaginations to travel all over the world this year.
Now it’s time for their biggest mission yet: the Moon! 🌕
Their excitement is off the charts. Stay tuned to see how this special day unfolds!
I’ve been to 50 countries, and Peru is easily in my top 5.
There are so many wonderful things about this country:
-the Pacific coast of Lima
-Cusco (one of the highest cities in the world)
-Machu Picchu (one of the current wonders of the world)
-Rainbow Mountain (a challenging hike, but completely worth it)
Don’t even get us started on the food!
So grab a chicha morada (a non-alcoholic purple corn drink) and get yourself down to Peru!
