American Heritage Summer Day Camp is located at the intersection of Broward Boulevard and Flamingo Road in the city of Plantation. There are 40 beautiful acres of buildings and recreational areas. American Heritage Summer Day Camp
is designed for children 3-13 years of age. Cabins for ages 3-5 are co-ed, while ages 6-13 have separate boys and girls cabins. Each age level enjoys age appropriate activities supervised by our highly qualified staff. All cabins (which are classrooms during the school year) are air conditioned and campers take pride in decorating them to reflect the cabin's theme. Staff Members
Our Summer Day Camp is directed by state certified teachers and college or high school students who have been carefully screened by us, as well as the FDLE Services of the State of Florida. Many of our counselors are students or alumni of our school or have been campers or Counselors In Training for a number of years. Our directors and paid staff members are assisted by volunteer CIT's (Counselor In Training). CIT's range in age from 14 to 15 years old. They are well-trained in safety and camp policies. Field Trips
To expand the number of recreational activities available to our campers age 6-13, age appropriate field trips are scheduled for each three-week session. Bus transportation is provided by C & L Bus Company, and all drivers are properly licensed and screened. All field trips are supervised by Off-Campus Directors as well as an appropriate number of counselors. Prior to your camper beginning camp, he will receive a schedule of activities for each three-week session so he will be aware on which days field trips are planned. Soccer Camp - Ages 6-13 Years
Coached by soccer players who have played soccer at the college level and coached at many U.S. soccer camps.
-footwork, shooting, goalkeeping, agility, flexibility, conditioning, small-side scrimmages
Tennis Camp
Our tennis campers spend their morning on the courts learning from professionals in small group instruction. They also visit the pool each day and participate in many of our facilitated activities on campus. Tennis camp is the perfect combination of tennis and camp to accommodate the child who is serious about tennis. Theatre Camp
Theatre Camp is an intensive program for the child who is very interested in the dramatic arts. The program features classes in voice, dance, acting, set design and make-up, taught by experienced professionals. At the end of the summer, campers present a full scale production.
