đź“š Read Across DSA: A Fun-Filled Week of Reading, Activities & Movies!
From March 10th - 14th, Dickens Sanomi Academy transforms into a world of imagination and creativity! Students and teachers will dive into their favoritee books with themed activities, crafts, and even movies to bring stories to life. Get ready for a week of fun, learning, and adventure!
Here’s what’s coming up:
Monday - Reading Garden
Theme: Wear red
Activity: Hands-on, book-themed crafts in the hallways
Tuesday - Find It!
Theme: Design a hat inspired by a book character (with a splash of blue)
Activity: Word search puzzles & bingo fun
Wednesday - Reading Buddy
Theme: Fun socks & cool hair
Activity: Outdoor reading with a buddy
Thursday - Story Teller
Activity: Special guest readers bring stories to life
Friday - Lights-Out Reading
Activity: Flashlight reading under the stars & a fun movie day

Author visit!
Author Kentrell Martin brought an incredible experience to K-6th grade students. His books are not only engaging but also teach valuable lessons—and to top it off, he introduced the students to sign language!
Students were seen using the signs he taught them throughout the week, a true testament to the impact he made. His books will be available at the school for purchase until Wednesday, so don’t miss the chance to grab a copy!

Leaving campus! Students explored different countries, got their passports stamped, and immersed themselves in global cultures through food, activities, and vibrant classroom displays. From traditional dishes to creative decorations, our teachers went above and beyond to bring each country to life. The day wrapped up with an electrifying step performance by our step team!
