Chanukah is around the corner and Ramat Shalom Beth Israel invites you to an event, fun for kids and adults of all ages.
Chanukah Palooza is Sunday, Dec. 10 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Ramat Shalom.
And to put on the Palooza, many volunteers are needed.
Marissa is seeking helpers for any part of three shifts:
1) Set up starting at 1:30 p.m.
2) During the event from 4 to 6 p.m., manning booths, food, etc.
3) Cleanup 6 p.m. to @7 p.m.
If you can lend a hand or if you'd like to donate to sponsor the Palooza, please contact Marissa at [email protected].
Also please register your family to attend.

Last call: This Sunday (Nov. 12) is a special event sponsored by the RSBI Grandparents Club.
The fun begins at 11 a.m. at Ramat Shalom for preschool students; 11:30 a.m. for grades K-7. (Your grandchild does not have to attend RSBI for you to participate; either you or your kids are synagogue members.)
Cost is $10 per family (no matter the number of kids and adults; parents invited, too).

Grandparents will have a chance to do a candlestick art project, take home a Tzedakah box, sing songs with Cantor Laura and eat pizza and popsicles with their grandkids.

If any grandparents can stay after ECC shabbat Friday or come to the synagogue at 10 a.m., our help is needed in the school with a special shirt project. Should take no more than an hour. Also hope to see you at Simchat Torah celebration tomorrow night.

Hope everyone had a meaningful and joyous New Year!
Thank you, Marissa, for giving Grandparents Club a shout out in your Yom Kippur address.
We're starting a new program in October: Grandparents are invited to the first ECC Shabbat of the month and to stay after for about an hour to help with anything the school needs.
The first Shabbat service for us is next week, Friday, Oct. 6, beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the sanctuary.
The goal is to assist in the classrooms or with projects the school needs ... it is not meant as time specifically with your grandchildren. We're there to help and not be a distraction or cause other children to be upset because their grandparents aren't there.
*** Save the date for a Grandparents event on Sunday morning Nov. 12 ***
I attached some flyers for upcoming synagogue events for you and your grandchildren.

What’s the Grandparents Club?
The Grandparents Club will help navigate our Jewish journey alongside our children and grandchildren. We’ll keep you informed of the many activities at Ramat Shalom Beth Israel that we can participate in with our grandchildren. And whether you have grandchildren here or not, we encourage volunteers to help run programs.
Membership: open to all members of RSBI and grandparents who are non-members but have a family connection to the synagogue (such as through ECC, Torah School, IServe).
Cost: There will be no dues to join. If needed, we will ask for a fee to defray a program’s cost and seek sponsorships.
