Seventeen-year-old Ne'Keisha Hodges-Hawkins was a vibrant young woman whose life was cut tragically short in a senseless act of gun violence. What should have been a night spent with friends became a nightmare, leaving a family and community searching for answers and justice. Her story reminds us of the devastating impact violent crime has on innocent lives.

End of Watch – Officer Jason Ellis

On May 25, 2013, Bardstown Police Officer Jason Ellis was ambushed and murdered while driving home after completing his shift. Tree limbs had been deliberately placed across the roadway, forcing him to stop. As Officer Ellis exited his patrol car to clear the obstruction, he was shot and killed. He left behind his wife, Amy, and their two young sons. His murder remained unsolved for years, making it one of Kentucky's most heartbreaking and well-known cold cases. Officer Ellis made the ultimate sacrifice in service to his community and will never be forgotten.
