Tomorrow, the Academy will be closed. Individual makeup lessons will be coordinated between instructors and their students.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR: AMBER LEE WATKINS (GROUP DANCE)

My name is Amber Lee Watkins. I have a boundless passion to see others have joy and find the same joy of the Lord that I have found.

I am a mother of four unique children, three boys and one girl and wife of an impressive husband who supports my ideas.

I was four years old when I began to dance. I didn’t just cherish it, but endeared this art form. I found solace and peace and the flow of dance with the rhythm music. I found that my emotions could be positive output rather than having a negative impact.

I began with classical ballet, which I believe is the core of all dance. It trains the body for the movements in any dance form.

I trained at Kim Halls School of Dance in Brandon, FL. I trained in many forms of dance including ballet, jazz, tap, and lyrical.

In my classes, I intend to focus on the structure of dance not just the movements.

I see the application of Gods word in dance. There are structure and rules to follow in order to achieve the best in yourself. If they are applied and practiced and taken serious the outcome in yourself will glorious. I expect nothing but enthusiasm and willingness to learn and want each student to respect dance and each other. The goal is unity and for all to be one flowing body.

I have performed at many different venues for all different kinds of crowds including the State Fair, The Strawberry Festival, The Super Bowl and many others.

I love dance competitions and have much experience on the state and national levels. I want my students to have these experiences as they grow in their God given talent.

I take this teaching opportunity to the core of my heart to redeem what is a gift inside each person. This is an opportunity to mentor and guide through dance to the perfect will of the Father.

I want the character of Christ to portray in the dance so that the Lord is glorified for who He is. Let this be a time to worship the Creator!!

**This is Amber's fourth year teaching at PCAA. She has openings in elementary dance on Thursdays 5:45 pm - 7 pm and is looking to add a tweens & teens class soon!

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR: SETH HASTMAN (DRUMS)

Seth Hastman was born and raised in Edmonton Alberta, Canada. Growing up in a musical family it was natural for him to begin playing instruments at a young age, starting with piano lessons at the age of three and transitioning to drums at the age of six, a passion which he has kept going for 18 years and counting.

Prior to his move to Florida, Seth played percussion on the main stage and was the lead drummer for the youth group at his former church in Canada before transitioning to lead drummer on the main stage in 2019. Since his move to Florida, Seth now plays drums in rotation with 2 other drummers at The River at Tampa Bay Church.

Seth taught private drum lessons in Canada and is excited to bring his skills to the team at PCAA. His goal is not only to provide students with instruction on the instrument, but for each student to learn to flow in the instrument and find a passion for drums that will stay with them for years to come.

Seth is excited to teach drums again, assisting new students in establishing a foundation in music and helping beginner/intermediate drummers further their skill.

Seth has openings on Tuesdays.

PCAA is enrolling now for the 2024-2025 year! We are excited to welcome back students who have taken time off this summer!

Our instructors are ready to go and accepting new students of all ages for private acoustic, electric, and bass guitar, drums, voice, piano, cello, & violin lessons. We also offer group dance for elementary students with a foundational emphasis on ballet.

Classes will officially kickoff on Tuesday, September 3! Register now to secure your time slot! Openings are filling fast!

PCAA Students will be featured in our annual Student Showcase, on Sunday, May 19 from 2-4 pm! Come see highlights of what our students have been learning this year and celebrate their growth!

Note: We are a year round academy and most of our instructors continue with lessons over the summer so there's no need to pause the progress!

My Music Staff - A great tool to use for any Academy or school with multiple features applicable to many areas.
I love the feature of creating a repeat lesson on the calendar so it only needs entered once. And our instructors love it too.
