💚🐏 Just Because You Teach Doesn’t Mean You Stop Learning! 📚✨
Our Wilson teachers are putting their own learning into action! Using Fahrenheit 451, teachers practiced building a structured conceptual learning activity by analyzing a passage, mind-mapping words connected to setting, identifying relationships, and drawing conclusions to answer a conceptual question. 🤔💡
The goal? Learning how to stair-step a micro-lesson by intentionally selecting instructional strategies that align with our T-TESS professional growth goals:
📚 Processing Content: Helping students organize and make sense of new information through close reading and mind-mapping.
💡 Elaborating on Information: Encouraging students to identify connections, explain their thinking, and draw deeper conclusions.
🤝 Interacting with Others: Creating opportunities for students to discuss ideas, share perspectives, and build understanding together.
As IB Inquirers and Thinkers, our teachers are modeling the curiosity, critical thinking, and lifelong learning we want to inspire in our students!
