We are incredibly happy to share that the Plano West Symphony Orchestra has been selected as the 2027 TMEA Full Honor Orchestra! We are excited to share our music at the 2027 TMEA Convention and hope you join us for our performance.

Selection as an honor full orchestra is particularly special, because it requires a thriving musical community with both an outstanding string and band program. We are honored to share this achievement with the Plano West Band and their musicians who collaborated on our UIL performance in March.

Congratulations to our friends and colleagues across the state who also entered the process or made finals! These types of events are one of the many ways that we see the power of Texas music education.

18 Plano ISD graduates are earning national recognition! 🎓

These students were named winners of the 2026 College-Sponsored National Merit Scholarship, one of the most prestigious academic honors in the country. Chosen from finalists nationwide, they are among a distinguished group of seniors receiving support for their college journey.

This incredible achievement highlights their hard work, dedication and bright futures ahead. 🌟

WHEN: Monday, June 1st
WHERE: Plano West Small Gym ( Parking directions are attached)
TIME: 10:00am – 1:00pm

Construction is underway so please be careful!

Remember, if you are not able to pick up your diploma on June 1st you will be able to pick up on/after August 3rd….Plano West is closed for renovations for the summer.

All fines need to paid and Chromebooks return in order to pickup diplomas! Only the student can pick up the diploma, with an ID, no family or friends.

🚨Update & Apology

We have been made aware of an error in a recent post regarding the spelling of our Salutatorian’s name.

We sincerely apologize to Kaitlyn Fan, her family, friends, teachers, and classmates for this mistake. Earning the distinction of Salutatorian is an incredible accomplishment, and it is important to us that we properly recognize and celebrate our students’ achievements.

We feel terrible for the error and take full responsibility. Kaitlyn’s years of hard work, dedication, and academic excellence deserve to be honored with the accuracy and respect they merit.

Please join us in congratulating Kaitlyn Fan on this outstanding achievement. We are incredibly proud to have her as part of the Wolfpack family and wish her all the best in her bright future.

Once again, we offer our sincere apologies and congratulations to Kaitlyn on this well-deserved honor.
