I’m thrilled to be partnering up with Jason Taylor and Your Race Your Pace Coaching Services to help build some strong, injury resistant runners!

We are happy to announce a partnership with a certified personal trainer to offer customized strength training plans to supplement and enhance your running!

These plans will create stability, strength, and reduce the likelihood of injury with strength sessions made just for runners. Monthly plans include dynamic strength sessions based upon clients needs, weaknesses, and injury history. Plans are progressive, and based upon client’s training and racing schedule.

Josie is a NASM certified personal trainer and TRX qualified instructor. In addition to working with athletes, Josie is one herself. A longtime triathlete and runner, Josie has raced distances from 5k’s and sprint triathlons to Ironmans and Ultramarathons.

“The study, conducted by researchers at the National Institutes of Health, is the first randomized, controlled trial to show that eating a diet made up of ultra-processed foods actually drives people to overeat and gain weight compared with a diet made up of whole or minimally processed foods.”

"Landmark" study finds a highly processed diet spurred people to overeat compared with an unprocessed diet, about 500 extra calories a day. That suggests something about processing itself is at play.

Eat real food! If it comes in a package, beware. I know we hear it over and over again, but a Mediterranean style diet it the way to go. Vegetables, fruits, whole grains (not refined!) and healthy fats. You can’t out exercise a poor diet!

Some 11 million deaths annually are linked to diet-related diseases like diabetes and heart disease, a study finds. Researchers say that makes diet the leading risk factor for deaths around the world.

Happy Monday! It’s time for another edition of The Best Core Exercises You’re Not Doing (but should). Today we’re talking Dead Bugs. This exercise may look easy, but I’m sure that many of my clients can attest to the opposite! Why do Dead bugs? This exercise engages and involves all of the core muscles. No isolation here! In the photo I’m performing the dead bug with a stability ball to add a little extra tension to the abdominal muscles as I squeeze it between the arm & leg. Add this to your next core workout and let me know what you think! https://breakthroughfitnessfl.com/blog/dead-bug-exercise-stability-ball/
