Almost time to go back to school! Excited to meet a new group of kids! I know they will be awesome ;)

On Tuesday afternoon, the 5th grade teachers were joined by Allen Americans pros Dyson Stevenson, Konrad Abeltshauser, and Joel Rumpel to take on the 5th grade auction winners, Cayla Difiglia, Allison and Laura Kokal, Patrick Munns, and Abby Roth.

Though the teachers took the lead several times, the kids never gave up, and eventually tied the game 8-8 late on, and both teams were denied chances to take the victory by excellent goaltending and defending by both teams. Mrs. Boyle was the game MVP for her 4 goals!

In the shootout, Laura scored for the students, but Mrs. Burns, Mrs. Boyle, and Mr. Beard all put the puck in the net to take a 3-1 victory for the teachers.

Great game, 5th grade students, but next year's 5th graders need to start practicing now if they think they stand a chance!

No school Friday!
