Hey there, Fowler Falcons! I am Emily Byrne and I am delighted to continue my career here at Fowler Middle School. I have been teaching for two years in Prosper ISD and am so excited for my next journey in Frisco. This year I will be teaching 8th Grade ILA and coaching Girls Athletics. This will be my first year coaching and I couldn’t be more excited! I graduated from the University of North Texas with my degree in English. Go Mean Green! In my spare time I enjoy camping, reading young adult novels, being outside by the pool, and walking my dog Rory. My happy place is Colorado during the summer, and I am a chai tea lover. I’m so excited to be at Fowler and to meet all my wonderful new students, and athletes! It’s going to be a great year.

The 8th Grade Academic Pentathlon Team has been named NATIONAL RUNNER-UP! We also had the top scoring student in the nation!

These students chose to keep studying until the last day of school where they competed virtually and walked away with numerous individual awards. We are so proud of their accomplishments!

Congratulations to our 8th grade 2022 Dodgeball champions! It started with 12 teams and a final game that was very close, but The GOATS prevailed. 😀

For the first time in three years we were blessed to celebrate the final day of school with ALL 300 plus 8th graders on campus!!!

Wow, what a great group, a great year and great day to celebrate!!!

We are SO PROUD of each and every one of you! We will miss you but will be cheering loudly as you Take Flight and make your mark on this world!!!

STAAR testing may be over, but these 8th grade science students were ready for the challenge - Can you build a ball ramp out of just paper and tape? How can you make the ball's path take as many seconds as possible to complete?

The FMS Library has been good to these 8th graders. Hoping to leave their mark, they write "Book Brags" and leave them in their favorite books.

Boo! Fowler 7th ILA and ADV ILA students kick off the beginning of October with an extra spooky digital escape room. Students had to work with one another to apply their knowledge of Latin and Greek stems to English vocabulary in order to save themselves and escape the haunted mansion before time ran out. Together they proved that their teamwork and knowledge was the scariest and most monstrous combination of all.

This is my fifth year teaching and coaching at middle school, I started at Schimelpfenig in Plano but I am so thrilled to be returning to Fowler where I first started teaching as a substitute. I'll be teaching Health this year as well as coaching Volleyball, Cross Country and Track. I also served as the assistant coach for Boys Cross Country and Track at Plano Senior High and am excited to contribute the knowledge and experience I gained from that to our athletic programs at Fowler. I have over 11 combined years of teaching experience, it's a passion I knew I wanted to pursue when I graduated from Texas A&M University as a member of the Corps. of Cadets. I love the role I'm able to fulfill in kid's lives by not only teaching them the subject, but inspiring them to grow up into young men and women who will have integrity, be personally responsible and live lives of good character long after they leave this campus.
