The student council worked hard on collecting and counting can at the last meeting. As a school we collect 1,152 cans! The food was donated to the Texas North Food Bank and we are feeding 1,275 families with our donations. The grade level that collect the most cans is 2nd grade! Thank you all for donating this year!

New to Hughston is "Musical Mornings"! A few talented 4th and 5th graders have already treated us to their piano skills this year. They have really blown us away! If your student of any age takes piano or music lessons and have songs prepared, they may sign up for one day using the link in the comments below. Any questions? E-mail Mrs. Burney! ♪
It’s been a tough week for my kiddos in Pet Patrol this past week. First our dwarf hamster, Marshmallow passed away and today our other 🐹 Graham Cracker passed away. These kiddos took the best care of them and worked with them so the hamsters could be held. So proud of them as they have had to have the circle of life conversation with me twice in a week. Hamsters live 1-3 years so we will be adopting again to give another hamster a wonderful life! The hardest part about having pets is saying goodbye.
Just a reminder that there is no school on Tuesday, November 7th. School will resume on Wednesday, November 8th. Thank you!
Don't forget to set your clocks back one hour tonight!!
Third grade and kindergarten buddies met this week! We loved playing, coloring, and chatting!
