Congratulations to all of our Wells Tigers that participated in our reflections contest. Check out all of our winners.
Every year Wells PTA awards one Wells staff member and one community member with a lifetime PTA membership. Receiving this award is one of PTA’s highest forms of recognition and lets a volunteer know how much they are appreciated for their dedication to our children and the community. Although nominees are often members of the PTA, current membership is NOT a requirement to be nominated. Please nominate one Wells staff member and one community member (i.e. parent, neighbor, etc) who volunteers or makes a difference in the life of Wells students. Honorees can receive the same award multiple times from different PTAs. Nominations will close on Monday, February 3rd. Please direct any questions to the Wells PTA Membership Chair, Amy Carter - [email protected]

Hello Wells Family! My name is Ashley Piper, and I am your 2024-2025 PTA Secretary. My husband and I have been a part of the neighborhood since 2014, and we are so excited to finally be a part of Wells with a daughter in 1st grade and a daughter who will be in Kinder next school year. You can find us out and about on family walks, bike rides or working in the yard. My favorite thing about my position in the PTA is collaborating with other families and community members to help our kiddos have a fun and successful education at Wells!

Wells PTA is a member of the Plano ISD Council of PTAs, Texas PTA and National PTA. As members of these organizations, we are part of the oldest and largest volunteer child advocacy group in the United States. For over 100 years PTA has been working to identify problems affecting children and devising strategies to resolve them. Many important advances such as child labor laws, a public health service, hot lunch programs, a juvenile justice system, mandatory childhood immunizations, and automobile safety belt programs can be attributed to the unrelenting efforts of PTA volunteers.
As a PTA we have available to us the huge resources of the state and national organizations as well. This includes the training of our officers and chairs, state and national conventions, and many award opportunities. Most importantly, as a member unit of the PTA we have a voice. When PTAs join together as one voice, we can make a real difference for our children and for children throughout the United States.
