Wells Elementary PTA Why Join the Wells PTA? For the kids, that's why! Together We Make a Difference Most importantly, as a member unit of the PTA we have a voice.

Wells PTA is a member of the Plano ISD Council of PTAs, Texas PTA and National PTA. As members of these organizations, we are part of the oldest and largest volunteer child advocacy group in the United States. For over 100 years PTA has been working to identify problems affecting children and devising strategies to resolve them. Many important advances such as child labor laws, a public health ser

vice, hot lunch programs, a juvenile justice system, mandatory childhood immunizations, and automobile safety belt programs can be attributed to the unrelenting efforts of PTA volunteers. As a PTA we have available to us the huge resources of the state and national organizations as well. This includes the training of our officers and chairs, state and national conventions, and many award opportunities. When PTAs join together as one voice, we can make a real difference for our children and for children throughout the United States.

🎨 🌎 Calling all Wells artists! Students are invited to share what culture means to them through our Fine Arts Showcase during Arts in Education Week!

Celebrate your traditions, experiences, family, community, and personal story through drawings, paintings, photography, sculpture, song lyrics, poetry, or another creative idea!

🎨 On Display: September 14–18 during Arts in Education Week

📄 Entry forms went home in Orange Folders on 8/27/26.

Completed artwork and entry forms should be turned in to Mrs. Dixon, Art Teacher. We can’t wait to see our Tigers’ creativity and celebrate the many cultures that make our Wells community special! 🐯💙

Arts in Education Week is coming! 🎨🎶

We’re excited to celebrate Arts in Education Week, September 14–18, with a week full of creativity, music, and fun at Wells!

Throughout the week, Tigers will enjoy our “What Does Culture Mean to You?” Fine Arts Showcase on display in the school, as well as and special music performances in the main hallway before the school day starts. On September 15, students will celebrate Dot Day with a special art project and a Dots & Notes Dress-Up Day—wear your dots or something musical! 🔴🎵 More information on the sign-ups for the musical performances will be coming in the near future.

We’ll wrap up the week on September 18 with a special visit from the PESH “Cell” East Cello Choir! 🎻

We can’t wait to celebrate the arts and showcase the creativity of our Tigers! 🐯🎨💙

It’s an easy, behind-the-scenes way to give your time and support our school. Orange Folders go home with the oldest Wells student in each family weekly and include school updates, PTA news, and event forms.

An ice cream truck will be at Wells after school on Friday, September 4, from 2:45–3:45 p.m. Families may purchase ice cream directly from the truck, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Wells Elementary.

It’s an easy, little-effort way to show appreciation! Simply sign up for a date and drop off a snack or treat. There are approximately 60 staff members, so each sign-up should provide about 30 servings.
