Weeist Ones Week 36:

This week we worked on our Memory Books and made a little something for our dads (since Father’s Day is in summer.)

We observed lots of life cycles around our school. We have found many butterflies and rolly pollies at recess. We have had so much rain lately, there are always ducks waddling around and yep, and mamma duck “the new mamma duck” as the kids say is still sitting on her nest! We have a bird house full of baby birds too!

We had some nice weather to play outside! We love to play with sidewalk chalk and as it gets hot we like our sensory bins in the shade!

We sang songs about our new memory verse as well as some action songs and some songs about shapes.

We have read some books about daddies. We really have some avid “readers” in our class.

Memory Verse: “Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

Next stop…SUMMER BREAK!!!!

Our children always change us. We learn more from them than they do from us guaranteed. This little one though. She taught me more than all my students in 23 years combined. Live each day to the fullest. You never know when it will be your last. She certainly did live each day to the fullest. She radiated joy and love every moment I was with her. Seems at my age, l should already know that because we hear it so much. They do say that we all learn better the hard way. This is definately the hardest of ways. When I saw her last, I told her I would “see her later” just like I do all my students. Little did I know that it will be in heaven. You are loved and missed sweet Finley. Happy birthday to you!

We started off the week leading worship at Waterbrook! We had some brave little Wee Ones who happily walked on stage and were the cutest things you have ever seen and walked off stage so bravely! Not one single tear!

We observed lots of life cycles around our school. We have found many caterpillars at recess and have learned how to transfer them gently into our butterfly garden. Our baby birds greet us every time we come out to recess and we found another bird next full of baby birds. We have had so much rain lately, there are always ducks waddling around. Maybe we will find some more duck eggs.

We had some nice weather to play outside! This week we played with sidewalk chalk and made a little “road” to drive on. We also played in some spring planting flowers sensory bins.

We watched videos of ourselves singing at church. We sang some worship and spring movement songs and celebrated Mrs. Cindy and Mrs. Brit’s Birthdays!

We read a lot of books about shapes.

This was the last week of our memory verse so we took turns reciting it!
