We had an AMAZING time at our 9 Weeks Assembly this morning! 🎉 We had so much to celebrate and so many reasons to cheer on our Comets!

👏 5th Grade took home the win in our Peanut Butter Challenge with OVER 1,800 jars collected!

⭐ 4th Grade earned the title of grade level with the best attendance!

📣 4th Grade also won our grade-level cheer competition, but WOW, did every grade bring their A-game! Everyone absolutely rocked it!

☄️ We had a special visit from our Comet mascot, and the North Texas Peanut Butter Mascot joined Ms. Wallace to help announce the Peanut Butter Challenge winner!

And, of course, we wrapped up the fun with a SUPER exciting teacher game that had everyone cheering!

We are so proud of our Comets and all the hard work, school spirit, and generosity they have shown over the past nine weeks! What a wonderful way to celebrate all they have accomplished. Here's to another great nine weeks! ❤️

We had TWO amazing teachers chosen to be our Comets of the Week! ⭐ ⭐

⭐ Mr. Cumberbatch was nominated because of the kindness and care he showed our fifth graders during Lunch with a Loved One. He invited students who didn’t have a loved one able to attend to have lunch with him in his classroom, turning what could have been a disappointing experience into an opportunity for them to feel included and special. He gave up his own lunch and free time to spend time with these students, build relationships, and make sure they knew they weren’t missing out. It was such a thoughtful gesture and a wonderful example of making every student feel seen, valued, and like they belong!

⭐ Ms. Corzine was nominated because of the time, effort, and care she puts into supporting her team. Organizing the field trip to the Dallas World Aquarium came with plenty of rain and unexpected challenges, but she stayed positive and found a way to make it all work. She consistently goes above and beyond, always willing to step up, help out, and make things happen. Her dedication and willingness to support those around her make such a difference, and she deserves to be recognized for all she does!

Congratulations to two very deserving teachers!!! We are so grateful for both of you and the ways you make Centennial a great place to be.

Our last day at camp was filled with learning, adventure, and survival skills! 🔥🌲
Students had the opportunity to learn how to build shelters using available natural resources and build a fire, putting their problem-solving skills, creativity, and teamwork to the test. What a wonderful hands-on learning experience! 🏕️🔥
Over these three days, our 5th graders experienced so much more than just camp. They learned, explored, challenged themselves, connected with one another, and made memories that will last a lifetime. 💙
Three days filled with fun, friendship, learning, adventure, and countless smiles! 😊

Our 2nd graders had a fabulous time at the Dallas Aquarium last Friday! From fish to other sea creatures (I heard they saw a shark!!), they explored, asked great questions, and learned so much alongside their friends. Thank you to our teachers, chaperones, and families who helped make this day possible. ♥️ It's always so special and memorable when we get to take learning beyond the walls of Centennial!
