Plano ISD families are invited to 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬: 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧-𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, a workshop exploring child development, the developing brain, youth mental health, substance use and the neuroscience of addiction.

It's Peanut Butter time!

Ayan Ipe, one of our 3rd grade students, has been selected as a National Math Star! ⭐ He is one of just over 600 students nationwide selected from a pool of nearly 9,000 top elementary math students from across the country. This is an INCREDIBLE accomplishment!!

National Math Stars is a nonprofit organization that identifies mathematically extraordinary students beginning in 2nd and 3rd grade and supports them for ten years, through high school graduation.

Ayan was selected for the program after a multi-stage evaluation of mathematical aptitude. Fewer than 7% of applicants are accepted as National Math Stars!!

Over the next ten years, Ayan will receive:
- Financial support for advanced math courses and more
- Ongoing mentorship and guidance from the National Math Stars team
- Advanced math learning opportunities
- STEM enrichment materials and experiences
- Invitations to math competitions and summer camps

We are SO very proud to celebrate Ayan and this incredible accomplishment! His hard work and talent in mathematics have earned him an amazing opportunity, and we cannot wait to see where this journey takes him. Congratulations, Ayan! You are a rockstar! ⭐

Every day at school matters! When students are here, they are learning, growing, building friendships, and creating memories that they will carry with them. Attendance is about more than simply being in a seat; it’s about being part of our school community and making the most of every opportunity.

We know life happens and some absences are unavoidable, but whenever possible, we want every student here, ready to learn and ready to be part of the day. Every day counts. Every student matters!

Our Centennial PTA and families are absolutely unparalleled!! 😭💙

They brought us ice-cold drinks at carpool to help us survive this heatwave and treated us to some delightful snacks to enjoy as a Friday pick-me-up!

Thank you for making our days brighter and loving us so well! We are so grateful for your support, kindness, and generosity, Centennial families and PTA!!!

The Shepton Sapphires are excited to present The Nutcracker Experience! 🩰

Join us for a magical day filled with games, crafts, choreography, a character breakfast, photo station, lunch, and MORE! Kids will get to experience the magic of The Nutcracker while making memories and having tons of fun!

Calling all future Wolfpack cheerleaders! 🐺💙 The Plano West Cheer Mini Wolfpack Clinic is coming up!

📅Saturday, October 10
⏰ 9:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
📍 Plano West Senior High Gym
👧🧑 Open to boys & girls, Pre-K–8th grade

Participants will learn cheers, jumps, stunts, and dances and even get the chance to perform a pre-game cheer on the field at the Varsity football game on October 16! 🏈📣

💙 $60 per participant — includes a T-shirt, snack, and game entry fee!
⭐ VIP Upgrade: +$20 — includes a bow, poms, and a photo with a West cheerleader!

Calling all future Plano West Royales👑 K–5th graders are invited to dance under the Friday night lights with the Plano West Royales at the Mini Royales Drill Team Clinic this fall!

We are especially excited because some of the Royales’ officers are former Centennial Comets! ⭐️

Clinic: October 3 | 1–4 PM
Location: PWSH Gym
Game: October 16 at Clark Stadium | 5:45 PM

Pre-registration includes a new T-shirt, craft, digital photos with the Royales in uniform, water & snacks, and the chance to learn a combo and the fight song! Participants will also get to perform at the October 16 game.

Y'all know what time it is... PEANUT BUTTER DRIVE TIME! 📣🥜

Help us spread the love (and the peanut butter) from September 1st–30th, by bringing in plastic peanut butter jars and/or monetary donations to support the North Texas Food Bank.

The grade level that donates the most peanut butter jars + money will earn an extra recess! 🎉

Can’t bring in a jar? No problem! You can donate online by scanning the QR code. Every $1 donated = 1 jar toward your grade level’s total!!
