This July, PMI Founder and School Director Dr. Stacy Li, together with a group of PMI students and families, traveled to Acqui Terme, Italy to take part in the International Music Festival. 🇮🇹🎶

Over the past two weeks, our days began with lessons and rehearsals at 8:30 a.m. and often ended with concerts lasting until 1:00 a.m. It was an intense schedule, but every moment was worth it. Watching our PMI students grow through masterclasses, performances, and friendships with young musicians from around the world made this an unforgettable summer.

Providing these kinds of international experiences is at the heart of PMI’s mission. We believe the best music education happens both inside and beyond the studio, and we are committed to giving our students opportunities to learn, perform, and grow on the world stage.

A heartfelt thank you to our students, families, faculty, and the wonderful local volunteers for making this journey so meaningful.

In just one week, PMI students and faculty will be heading to Italy to participate in the InterHarmony International Music Festival!

At PMI, we believe music education extends far beyond the classroom. Thank you for an unforgettable week at PMI Summer Music Academy 2026.

Over the past five days, a group of young musicians ages 10–16 came together through piano, cello, and clarinet to create something special.

We are proud to be the first music school in the DFW area to offer a chamber music summer training experience specifically designed for students ages 10–16. At PMI, we believe young musicians can learn so much more than notes and technique. Chamber music teaches listening, communication, teamwork, leadership, and trust.

This week was filled with rehearsals, challenges, laughter, new friendships, and unforgettable musical moments. Most importantly, these young musicians discovered what it truly means to make music together.

We are incredibly proud of every student and all they accomplished in just five days.

Thank you to our faculty, families, and everyone who helped make this week possible.

PMI Summer Music Academy Final Showcase is tomorrow! 🎶

This week has been a meaningful journey for our young musicians. One of our goals in creating this Summer Music Academy was to introduce chamber music to students at a younger age—not only as a performance opportunity, but as a way to learn how to listen, communicate, support one another, and grow together through music.

Chamber music teaches students that music is not just about playing your own part well. It is about collaboration, trust, patience, and shared responsibility. We are so proud of how much every student has grown this week, both musically and personally.

We can’t wait to celebrate their hard work at our final showcase tomorrow at Steinway Piano Gallery Plano!
