This past weekend was a historic moment for our marching band, who advanced to the Finals Contest of the 2026 Melissa Marching Showcase!

Congratulations to the Williams Band. This is what Mr. Figlewicz had to say about this amazing competition.
For this contest, the band went to compete as a 4A Varsity level band, as opposed to a Non-Varsity group. We were the only 9th/10th grade campus at the event, and we competed against 24 of the best 9th-12th grade 4A bands in Texas. There were more than 12 multiple-time UIL State Finals and/or UIL Area Finals marching bands at the show!

I cannot stress enough how extraordinary it was for our band to advance to Finals at this contest. Congratulations to our incredibly hard working and district made WIlliams Band!

🍎 Happy World Teachers' Day from Plano ISD! 👩‍🏫👨‍🏫

Today, we celebrate our educators who plan, adapt, encourage, reteach, listen and keep showing up for students. To every teacher making a difference, both big and small, thank you.
