The camera is set up to watch the nest of a mated pair of bald eagles named Jackie and Shadow in Big Bear Valley, California. They have been incubating 3 eggs, and recently 2 hatched with the 3rd not far behind! It's very fun to follow along and see this eagle family grow!

Plano Senior High School Baseball is inviting all future Wildcats to their game on Wednesday, March 12th at 7:30pm at the Plano West Baseball field! Arrive at 7:00pm to take the field for the National Anthem with your Plano Wildcats! All are encouraged to wear their team jersey. The first 75 Future Wildcats will receive a goodie bag and free meal ticket!

(pictured center) Ms. Perla works in our front office as our parent liaison, is a Weatherford mom, and has previously taught 1st grade and been a substitute teacher. Ms. Perla works tirelessly for our students and families, and we are thrilled to honor her this year!

The 89th Texas Legislature is making decisions that will impact our students, teachers, and schools for years to come. Now is the time to raise our voices and advocate for the future of public education in Texas! 🎓🏫

📝 Key Issues & Our Stand:

🔹 Public School Funding 💰
House Bill 2 proposes a small increase in per-student funding, but it's not enough! We support funding based on enrollment, not attendance, to ensure schools get the resources they need.

🔹 School Vouchers 🚫🏛️
Senate Bill 2 & House Bill 3 would send public funds to private schools. We say NO to vouchers! Public money should stay in public schools where it benefits ALL students.

🔹 Teacher & Staff Shortages 🍎👩‍🏫
Texas is struggling to retain educators due to low pay and lack of support. We back higher salaries, better working conditions, and strong professional development.

🔹 School Safety 🏫🔒
We support increased safety funding that gives districts the flexibility to implement solutions that fit their unique needs.

🔹 Accountability & Testing 📝🚦
House Bill 4 seeks to change school accountability. We urge lawmakers to create fair assessment systems that truly reflect student success and family engagement.
