What a special morning at HGCLC! 💛

Today we had the joy of celebrating the wonderful grandparents and grandparent figures who love, encourage, pray for, and pour into our children. Our students filled Grandparent Chapel with songs, smiles, worship, and plenty of sweet preschool joy! 🥰🎶

We are so thankful for the generations of faith and love represented in the room today. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this morning one to remember! 💕

“One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts.” — Psalm 145:4

🏡 Families can encourage early writing at home, too!

• Let your child help write the grocery list.
• Provide crayons, markers, pencils, and paper for open-ended writing and drawing.
• Encourage them to make cards, signs, labels, or notes for family members.
• Point out letters and words you see while driving, shopping, or cooking.
• Ask your child to “write” about a picture they drew—even if their writing doesn’t look conventional yet.
• Most importantly, celebrate the effort instead of focusing on perfect letters or spelling.

Every scribble, shape, letter, and attempt has meaning. 💛 When children see that writing has a purpose, they become excited to communicate their ideas—and that’s how confident writers begin!

✝️ This Week in Chapel at HGCLC!

This week, we’re learning “Lot’s in Lots of Trouble” from Genesis 14 and discovering how Abram stepped in to help his family when Lot needed him. 💙

Our Big Idea: God wants me to help my family.

📖 Bible Verse: “As for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.” — Joshua 24:15

We’re excited to help our little ones learn that serving God includes loving, helping, and caring for our families! 🩵🧡
