Welcome to Discovery Montessori Academy. We are located here in Plano, TX. We are offering programs for ages 6 weeks to 6 years old.
Not only do we follow the Montessori philosophy, but we incorporate Chinese and Spanish throughout our daily lessons. We extend our education to early elementary grades K-3. On Saturdays and Sundays, the school also provides a TIANYI Chinese School for grades (Pre-K to 8th grade). We now have MONTHLY specials going on for new enrollments! NOW ENROLLING for our After School Program (K-5th grade)! Call us and schedule a tour!

Parenting Programs for Parents and Caregivers of Children 0-18 Years
The Thrive Initiative is a suite of evidence-informed parenting programs that are designed to empower parents and caregivers as they nurture children from birth until 18 years of age. The Initiative includes a series of face-to-face and online parenting programs and a range of online resources and interactive learning modules to meet the families where they are.
The Thrive Initiative is divided into developmentally age-appropriate areas and consists of four universal parenting programs and two targeted parenting programs. The four universal Thrive Initiative programs are available in online formats and immediate access to programming is granted to parents and caregivers. The universal face-to-face and targeted programs are delivered by professionals in an in-person format.
The programs are owned by the Federal Government, and the online universal programs are available at no cost to military and civilian families.

Nurturing Families is a 10-week parenting program designed for family members or caregivers. The purpose of the group is to learn strategies that can lead to building nurturing relationships with those around you. Participants will be able to connect with others about the highs and lows of raising children and gain new mindfulness strategies.

Our Story
We offer Preschool programs for ages 6 weeks to 6 years old, private Lower Elementary, After School Care and weekend Chinese class.
Every child is unique and we believe that success and growth come from encouragement and praise. Our teachers focus on building every child’s self esteem and confidence through positive feedback and rewards. We nurture their natural strengths. A child sees the world around them with wonder and awe. We believe in encouraging their natural curiosity.
