A Day of Inclusion is about more than volunteering. It's about showing up, connecting, and experiencing the power of inclusion firsthand!

We were excited to welcome team members from Qorvo, Inc. to My Possibilities for a recent Day of Inclusion.

Days like these bring our corporate partners and HIPsters together to connect, share experiences, and celebrate the importance of creating a community where everyone belongs.

Last Friday, we officially opened our MP Coffee Shop, and it’s already bringing plenty of smiles to campus!

This is more than just a place to grab a cup of coffee, our new coffee shop gives HIPsters opportunities to build valuable workplace skills, gain hands-on experience, and grow their confidence in a real-world retail environment.

From learning how to take orders and assist customers to preparing drinks and working together as a team, HIPsters are putting their skills into action while creating a welcoming space for our MP community.

And judging by the smiles, our staff are just as excited about this new addition to campus!

We’re so proud of our HIPsters and excited to see all the possibilities this new space will bring.

Her resume says she prepped food at Red Lobster. What it won’t tell you is who Monica is.

“What I’m most proud of is being myself.”

Monica brings that confidence everywhere she goes. She knows sign language, loves helping others, and is clear about what she wants from a workplace: “I just like to be treated the same.”

Her message to employers? Inclusion shouldn’t be the exception. When people with disabilities work at the ice cream shop or a small coffee shop, as Monica puts it, “That’s just normal.”

Today is National DAF Day!

If you have a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF), you’ve already set aside money for good. Now all that’s left is deciding where it goes.

A grant to My Possibilities helps HIPsters build valuable skills, prepare for meaningful employment, and grow in confidence and independence through programs like our Employment Innovations School and Lifelong Learning.

During National Disability Employment Awareness Month, we’re also celebrating the talents and contributions HIPsters bring to the workforce.

We’re just one week away from a night of fun benefiting My Possibilities!

Thank you to the Hilti team for spending a Day of Inclusion with our HIPsters at My Possibilities!

Throughout the day, Hilti team members joined HIPsters in the classroom to learn, connect, and experience a day at MP. One of the highlights was a special tool show and tell in our Facilities track, where the Hilti team introduced HIPsters to several of the tools they use in their work.

HIPsters got an up-close look at how the tools are used, had the chance to handle some of them, and asked plenty of questions along the way. It was a fun, hands-on opportunity to bring workplace knowledge and real-world learning into the classroom.

Thank you, Hilti, for sharing your time and expertise with our HIPsters and for making this Day of Inclusion so memorable!

What happens before the first day of work?

For the interns you met yesterday, part of that story begins in the Employment Innovations School at My Possibilities.

Every day, HIPsters build job skills through hands-on learning and workplace simulations. In Admin, they take on office tasks with focus and attention to detail. In Retail, they fold merchandise, stock shelves, and practice customer service. In Facilities, they learn to use equipment and care for the spaces we share. In Culinary, they practice food safety, food preparation, and kitchen skills.

Through it all, our team is right alongside them, providing guidance, encouragement, and opportunities to build confidence along the way.

It’s this preparation that helps HIPsters feel ready when opportunity comes knocking.

Tomorrow, meet one of the HIPsters building their future through EIS and hear more about where they hope these skills will take them.
