I'm excited to share our very own Titan Tucker has been named to the US Paralympic Emerging Athlete Team! You can see him listed here: https://www.usparatf.org/emerging-team He has also been nominated again for the US Paralympic High School All-American Team. The official announcement for that will go out early next year. These teams are virtual teams used to mark milestones in an athlete's career.

In 2024, Tucker moved up to a new age category, U20. Amazingly, he broke the U20 record in each of his events his first year in this age group! In 2025, Tucker aims to break those records again while striving towards 2 main goals: 1) to hit the Paralympic Track & Field B Standard, which would allow him to be named to the US Paralympic Team; and 2) to be named to the Jr. World Championship Team or, even better, the World Championship Team. We have heard a rumor that the World Championships will be held in India in late summer, but nothing official has been announced

This year, Academy High School’s Theater Club will be performing the production of Space Princess Wars! Tickets will be available in December. We hope to see you there!

World Triathlon Championships in Torremolinos, Spain

Lucas placed 30th out of 68 athletes in the highly competitive 16-19 age group—impressive, especially as the youngest USA athlete to compete! Not only did he crush it individually, but he also represented Team USA in the team relay, where his team took an incredible 5th place!

Red Ribbon Week is an annual campaign in the United States to raise awareness about the prevention of drugs, alcohol, to***co, smoking, and violence. It takes place in October and began in 1985 as a tribute to DEA special agent Enrique Camerena.

The red ribbon is a symbol used to raise awareness for a variety of causes, including: Multiple sclerosis, Drunk driving prevention, Drug prevention, and The fight against HIV/AIDS.
