Reminder!

Starting September 1, 2026, Texas nurses will be required to upload their CE documentation for license renewals and reactivations, as SB 912 passed during the 89th Legislature (read more: https://tinyurl.com/msta2den).

The CE upload module is available now—so you can get comfortable with the process ahead of time!

How to Upload Your CE:
• Log in to your Texas Nurse Portal
• Select “Add Continuing Education” next to your license
• Follow the step-by-step instructions (tutorial: https://tinyurl.com/3hc6ym6z)

What You Need to Know:
• Beginning September 1, 2026, you must upload proof of all required CE before submitting your renewal or reactivation application.
• Acceptable CE documentation includes certificates of completion and transcripts.
• Make sure your CE meets the Texas Board of Nursing’s requirements—review accepted providers and topics before uploading.
