Good morning everyone,

With this school year underway so is the learning for our special need students. Also while teaching my Career Prep class I continuously think of ways to help our students to learn new skills as well as how to become more vocal and social. This year and for years to come I would like to start doing a mobile Hot Coco Bar for our hard working teachers. This Mobile Hot Coco Bar will give our students the opportunity to learn how to make delicious gourmet hot chocolate as well as give them the opportunity to gain social skills by making deliveries to our school staff each Friday. By starting this program our students will learn how to take orders, deliver product as well as take inventory and order product. We would like to pass out Panther Bucks to teachers and this will be how students will charge teachers and they would pay when their coco is delivered this teaching them how to count money and get and give change back. Therefore, I am reaching out to you the community to help this mobile hot chocolate bar become a reality for our students. Below is a link for you to donate the items needed for us to get this going. If you cannot donate please at least share this post so that it may reach someone who can. I would like to thank you all in advance for any help and support you can and will provide as we try and bring normalcy back to our students daily academic journey. “Panther Pride’s CoCo Bar”

Hello all,
As a dad of a son with autism and a special education teacher, I find that there are not enough extracurricular activities for our children to belong to outside of the academic setting. Therefore, I have dedicated my life to being the voice for the voiceless and doing everything I can to ensure that individuals within the special needs community have an opportunity to experience various things. I also like to make sure that we are as inclusive as we can be while still maintaining the ability to make events family and sensory-friendly. Over the past 10 years, I have held an annual Autism Awareness/ Special Needs Community Awareness Day Event at Plano East Senior High School. This year I would like to cordially invite you to join me as we celebrate our 10th year of bringing Sensory Friendly All Inclusive Family Fun and Special needs resources to the community. Thus, would you please come out on April 20, 2024, from 12-3:00 PM and enjoy a day of Free Fun. We ask that you share this with your friends, family, and community so we can make this the biggest event the special needs community has seen!! We will have a special appearance by the Mayor of Plano, TX as well as our annual basketball game between my Panther Pride Special Needs basketball team and the Plano Police Department not to mention plenty of Concession style foods, music, and fun with various inflatable obstacle courses and games. Community Awareness Day.
