Asking for help or support isn’t a sign of weakness—it’s your secret superpower. 🤝🌀

​We just wrapped up May, and as we head into a busy summer, I want to be entirely honest about something: you were never meant to build your wellness foundation in isolation.

​So often, we think we have to white-knuckle our habits, our weight, and our stress just to look strong. We pull back, we hide, and we try to do it all on our own.

​But the truth?
The illusion that we have to do this alone is exactly what keeps us stuck. 🛑

Why asking for help isn’t a weakness. It’s your secret power as a leader. 👑🛑

We just wrapped up the month of May, and it is the absolute perfect time to look ahead and get our bodies completely ready for the summer season! ☀️

But let’s be honest: when summer hits, schedules get chaotic. Performance routines fly out the window, and we often tell ourselves, "I’ll just wait and focus on my health later when things slow down."

Let’s flip-flop that mindset right now. 🔄

There is no "later." The illusion of tomorrow is what keeps us stuck in old, exhausting patterns. The only best time we have to optimize our energy is right now.

No matter how big your goals are, you don’t need to overhaul your entire life by tomorrow. You won't wake up perfectly healthy or with restored relationships overnight. But a simple 1% shift today generates undeniable upward momentum! 🚀📈

I had the absolute honor of sharing this exact foundational framework on May 27th when I spoke at Wellness Wednesday for City of Murphy employees as part of their wellness program. Seeing local leaders realize that accountability is a tool for strength, not weakness, was incredible! 🏛️🦅

Then, this past weekend, we kept that momentum going and celebrated this exact principle of community at our annual Open House! The house was filled with such beautiful energy, and my heart is completely full. ❤️✨

Here is the absolute most important rule of habit change: DO NOT DO IT ALONE. 🤝🌀

We think we have to white-knuckle our wellness to appear strong, but the science tells a different story: you have a 66% higher chance of success when you pursue your goals with a team and a community. Accountability is still your personal responsibility—a coach or a team can guide you, but you are the one who must step up and take the actions. But you were never meant to build the foundation entirely alone!

Leveling Up Leadership Through Wellness: Partnering with the City of Murphy - Government 🏙️✨

​May 26, 2026. Wellness Wednesday presentation with the City of Murphy workforce was a deeply meaningful milestone for me. It perfectly brought together my 30-year journey in the health, wellness, and psychology industry with my 17-year history as a local resident, Murphy Chamber of Commerce member, and recent ’sPolice Academy graduate. 🤝🎯

​Collaborating with the city's wellness program is a natural partnership.
To see a city organization actively invest in the health of its people is exactly how we build a thriving, resilient culture. 📈

​We had a packed room that brought together the absolute backbone of the city's daily operations:

​🚓 The First Responders & Dispatchers from Murphy Police Department, Texas and Fire, who handle high-stress situations daily.

​🚜 The Public Works Teams, who keep our city infrastructure running smoothly.

​🏛️ The Administration & City Hall Staff, who manage corporate decisions and community development.

​The City of Murphy conducts monthly Wellness Wednesdays to support their team, and for this month's session, we chose to focus on achieving a Healthy Weight and getting our bodies energized and ready for the summer season.
But a healthy weight is about so much more than a number on a scale—it is the foundation of our daily energy, focus, and leadership capacity. ☀️🔋

​Every single choice we make—every habit, thought, and emotion—either pulls us up into the Wellness Vortex of vitality or down toward exhaustion. In this framework, self-care is a non-negotiable standard. 🌀⚡

​The health and vitality of a city organization ultimately relies on the wellness of the individuals who run it.
Leadership isn't just a title held by executives; it is a capacity owned by every single employee.
When we empower team members across all departments to take absolute charge of their health, we instantly level up the creativity, productivity, and overall effectiveness of the entire city. 💡🛡️

Are we wearing "always busy" like a badge of honor? 🛑🤯

As business owners, leaders, and high-achievers, we treat overwhelm like it’s just the price of success. We wake up already behind, scroll through emails during breakfast, rush through the day with our shoulders up to our ears, and hit the pillow with a racing mind. 🏃‍♀️🍳🛌

But what is this chronic rush actually costing us?
Stubborn weight gain, constant anxiety, and a complete lack of deep, restorative sleep. 📉💔🧠

Here is the truth: Wellness isn't an extra project you start when life slows down. Wellness is exactly what you are practicing right now. 🔄

Every choice you make in this exact moment—how you breathe, how you eat, how you move, or how you protect your peace—is an act of wellness.

I had to deeply practice this myself recently. When a shifting corporate contract suddenly left me with 5 "empty hours" in my week, my old pattern screamed at me to fill it with frantic busywork.

Instead, I chose to flip the script. 🔄🎨

I chose centered silence. I stopped pushing for results and started generating them through alignment. Holding that space of silence is exactly what allowed me to finally build and launch my online Academy after years of waiting! 🚀✨

We are bombarded with more healthy choices, new diets, and shiny wellness programs than ever before in history...

So why are we collectively moving toward the basement of health? 📉

In my wellness career, which started at age 17, I see the biggest elephant in the room clearly. We often treat wellness as a future destination—something we will finally "have time for" tomorrow, after the weekend, or when life slows down.

But here is the truth: Wellness is exactly what you are doing right now. 🌀

There is no such thing as "not doing" wellness. Every single choice you make in this exact moment—how you breathe, how you sit at your computer, how you react to stress—is an act of wellness. You are always practicing something. The only question is: Are you practicing habits that lift you up, or drag you down?

That is why I created the Wellness Vortex Habit Change Model. It’s not a restrictive program to add to your busy schedule; it’s a framework to help you return to the basics through three phases: Foundation, Momentum, and Mastery. The Magic is in Keeping the Space Empty 🌀✨
We don’t like emptiness. 🛑

When a "gap" opens up in our lives—whether it’s a project ending, a schedule change, or a quiet season—our first instinct is to rush in and fill it. We are so used to being busy that the silence feels "wrong." We feel an eagerness to fill it back up immediately just to feel "productive" again.

But the real magic happens when you keep it empty.

Think of it like moving an old, worn-out sofa. For a moment, the room is bare. It looks unfinished. But that space is exactly what you need to seat a masterpiece. You cannot pour fresh water into a glass that is already full. Life "empties" us so we can finally seat a higher vision and a higher version of ourselves. 🛋️➡️🎨

Nurturing the "Inner Soil"
I birthed the Wellness Vortex 360 Academy during one of these exact seasons. I didn't wait for a "perfect" moment. Instead, I leaned into my own framework. I followed my non-negotiables: prioritizing sleep, fueling my body with the 80/20 rule, and functional movement.

But most importantly, I leaned into the silence. 🧘‍♀️

If you are in a "gap" right now, remember:
The Space is Necessary: You are simply clearing the path for something better.
Don’t Rush the Growth: You can’t scream at a sunflower to grow faster. Provide the "water" through reflection and wait in excited anticipation.
