A friendly reminder that Friday, May 24, will be an early release day for all students. Early release times are as follows:

Early Childhood and Head Start – 11:55 a.m.
Elementary School – 12 p.m.
Middle School – 12:40 p.m.
Senior High Schools and High Schools – 1:10 p.m.
Academy High School – 1:30 p.m.

We are celebrating 5th Graders “Glowing” to 6th Grade! Parents/guardians and 5th grade students are invited to an end of elementary party Thursday, May 23, 5:30pm-7pm. There will be food, music, and games! 🎉 🎉

If you didn’t order a yearbook, we actually have some extras we will be selling after school all week in front of the school. We’re accepting cash and card. Don’t forget to bring them back to be signed by all your friends. 📕 🖊️

Hello, Shepard Families! Due to unforeseen events, we will need to reschedule our Volunteer Appreciation lunch again. Our new date will be Thursday, May 16. We hope that if you have volunteered with us this year, you will join us for a lunch in your honor on May 16 from 10:30-1:00. It is a come and go event, and you can align your lunch with your child's teacher's lunch time.

If you know a high school senior who went to Shepard, please extend our invitation to a reception this Wednesday, May 15, 5:00-6:00pm in the Shepard Library.

We hope you can join us at Shepard PTA’s General Election Meeting on Thursday, May 16, at 6:00pm. During the general meeting the new officers for the 2024 - 2025 School Year will be elected. The nominees being put forth by the PTA Nominating Committee are below. Any new nominations from the floor may be received during this meeting.

The event will include some play time and an information meeting for parents. If you would like to volunteer on one of the most fun days of the year also know as FIELD DAY please sign up by tonight (May 5) in order to give the front office time to print badges and make sure our volunteers are background checked.

There is also a special request for pop up tents to give volunteers some shade. Check out the sign up genius if you can help in any way. All parents are welcome to hang out with their student as well even if they can’t volunteer (like our class parties). P.S. The school parade is adorable so come check that out too if you can! 🐾 🏃 🐾

We would like to invite all students and their moms or other special adult in their life for muffins this Friday, May 3rd at 7:15am in the Shepard cafeteria.

The PSHS Varsity Cheerleaders are providing a Kitty Clinic for 4th - 6th grade girls. The clinic is May 1st and participants will get to perform at Clark Stadium before the Maroon and White Spring Game on May 10th at 6:40pm!

The Spring Game will be a community event including face painting, food trucks, games and a bounce house. We are excited to invite the families of these girls to participate in the fun and see the girls perform at the FREE Spring Game.
