Anatomy & Physiology at THEO Home Education Solutions provides high school students with an in-depth study of the human body using Apologia Advanced Biology: The Human Body (2nd Edition).

Students explore all 11 organ systems through:
• Interactive lectures and videos
• Hands-on labs and dissections
• Anatomy models and microscopic slides
• Activities designed to reinforce learning

Students learn how the body's systems work individually and together to maintain homeostasis while developing critical thinking skills and a deeper appreciation for the complexity of God's design.

Ever stood up too fast and suddenly felt dizzy?

That brief feeling is usually caused by a temporary drop in blood pressure called orthostatic hypotension. Your body immediately activates multiple systems to restore blood flow to the brain and maintain homeostasis.

This is one of the best real-life examples of how the body constantly works to maintain balance.

The next time you feel dizzy after standing up, remember—your body is already hard at work.

The human body is constantly working to maintain balance — often in ways we never even notice.

From breathing and heart rate to temperature regulation and hormone control, every system in the body works together through a process called homeostasis.

That’s one of the many reasons anatomy and physiology is so fascinating to study.

With Systems in Sync, my goal is to help students understand not just the structures of the body, but how all of the systems work together to keep us alive and functioning every day.

My love for science began early, sparked by a deep curiosity about God’s creation and how the world works. As a homeschool graduate and a proud member of THEO’s Class of 2014, I discovered my calling to nursing while studying Anatomy & Physiology at Collin College.

After more than six years as a nationally certified Neonatal ICU nurse, I’m excited to now step into the classroom at THEO. I’m passionate about hands-on learning and look forward to helping students explore the beauty, complexity, and intentional design of the human body—just as I first experienced myself.
