Join us this November 15 and 16th as we present Rudyard Kiplings “The Jungle Book“. It is the story of Mowgli, the man cub, as he struggles to fit in with the wolves, the monkeys and even humans during his odyssey of self-discovery. One of literature's most enduring classics " The Jungle Book" is brought vividly to the stage in this exciting adventure of Mowgli, the Indian boy, raised by caring wolves; Akela pack leader and his mate Raksha and Mowgli's "litter mate" Grey Brother. He is befriended by Bagheera, the Panther, and Baloo, the Bear, but threatened by Shere Kahn, the evil tiger. Along the way he must contend with the mesmerizing Kaa and out smart the irascible Bandar-log monkeys. Also present are an array of other jungle creatures, Tabaqui, the groveling jacal lackey of Khan, Hathi the wise elephant, Rama the strong buffalo and Chil the kite who sees all, all who inhabit this action-filled play. But there is another ever present danger to all the animals in the jungle, man. Featuring an unscrupulous, egotistical hunter, Buldeo, who has been hired by Mowgli's human mother Messua who wants nothing more than to love her son, to find him and bring him home. Filled with excitement and humor, the play highlights the struggle of good versus evil, the worth of friendship, and the importance of loyalty and other values required for surviving the "law of the jungle."

I would like to take a moment and recognize some exceptional young people… The students of the Plainville High, School, Drama club! These stellar individuals have risen above and delivered an outstanding performance! Their dedication, support, and maturity is a credit not only to their families, but most of all it is a testament of their resilience and commitment to the play, to the school and most of all to each other. You are wonderful and beautiful people, and it is my pleasure and honor to know you, and for some of you to have been your Director for the last four years.. my love to you all.
I would also like to thank the Plainville High School administration and School board for your continued support, and a huge shout out to the Plainville community for your continuous love and support for our productions and our commitment to performing fun and engaging, and sometimes thought-provoking productions.
