Class C toddlers had so much fun learning all about our emotions last week! 💛😊😢😡 We talked about happy, sad, loving, and angry feelings and learned that all of our feelings are okay. Through stories, conversations, crafts, and lots of fun activities, we practiced naming our emotions and talking about what we can do when big feelings come along. These little ones are learning that it’s okay to feel ALL the feels—and we are so proud of them! 🥰🌈

💙 This Week’s Recap at Two Rivers ABC! 🐊

This week, we talked about feelings and emotions, safe and unsafe choices, and how we can ask our friends and teachers for help when we’re experiencing big feelings.

We also worked together to build friendship bridges and animal shelters out of blocks! 🧱🐾 These activities helped us learn about teamwork, friendship, safety, and creating a safe space for others.

Today we talked about the things that make us feel happy and sad and explored those emotions through Play-Doh. Students used their creativity to create a visual representation of a feeling and shared their creations with the class. 💛💙

Class C had such a fun and exciting week learning all about our five senses! 👀👂👃👅🖐️

Let’s recap 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

Monday was Touch! The kiddos got to stick their hands inside our feely box and explore different textures.

Tuesday was Sound! Each child got their own sound maker and had fun listening to all the different sounds they could make. 🎶

Wednesday was Sight! We used sight viewers to check out and discover different animals. 🦈🪼

Thursday was Smell! The kiddos explored different scents using a dab of vanilla lotion and scented markers. 👃✨

And we saved the best for last… Friday was Taste! 🍿 We had a popcorn party! Not only was it yummy, but it was also the perfect five-senses experience. The kids got to SEE the popcorn pop, FEEL it, SMELL it, HEAR the kernels popping, and of course TASTE it!

And for our craft of the week the kiddos got to make a paper plate self-portraits! 🥰 The kiddos got to trace their hands, explore different materials, and use their creativity to turn simple supplies into a face! Through this activity, we’re learning about our body parts, including our 2 eyes, 2 ears, 2 hands, mouth, and nose, while connecting them to what they help us do through our 5 senses! 👀👂👃🖐️👄

These kiddos had an absolute blast this week! They were so intrigued, curious, and eager to learn. We are so proud of our little learners! 💙🧡

Today we explored our sense of taste! 👅

Students tried different tastes and chose their favorite. We also put our taste buds to the test with a blind taste challenge, where they had to guess what they were tasting without seeing it first!

It was fun seeing everyone’s reactions and hearing their guesses as we learned more about how our sense of taste works! ❤️

🌸 Exploring Our Senses at Two Rivers ABC! 🌸

Yesterday, we learned all about the sense of sound, and today we continued our senses adventure by exploring the sense of smell! 👃✨

Our little learners took turns smelling different candles and sharing which scents were their favorites. 🕯️💗 We also colored pictures of things we can smell on our papers!

Left brain classroom 🧠 had a great time learning all about our eyes and discovering how important they are for helping us see and explore the world around us! 👁️🔍

We also wrapped up our Letter A activities with lots of fun learning and practice. 🍎🔤 Now we’re excited to move on to Letter B! 🅱️🐝

Today, our students worked on daily affirmations and explored the sense of sight! 👀

Affirmations are important because they teach children to speak positively about themselves, recognize their strengths, and build confidence and self-esteem. Starting the day with positive words helps our students develop a strong, healthy sense of self and reminds them that they are capable, loved, and important! ❤️
