Our first floral arrangement day of the year is in the books!

Our Plains High School floral students have been hard at work creating their first arrangements of the year for our Flower Arrangement of the Month Club!

In class, students have been learning all about the color wheel and how color theory plays an important role in floral design. Using the three secondary colors💜🧡💚 along with a little Halloween inspiration, our students created some SPOOKTACULAR October arrangements! 👻

We are so proud of the creativity and hard work these students put into each arrangement!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who purchased a floral subscription and continues to support our students and the Plains Ag Department! Your support gives our students the opportunity to turn what they’re learning in the classroom into real-world, hands-on experience.

We are kicking off our new student-run floral program with our Floral Arrangement of the Month Subscription! Each arrangement will give our Floral Design students hands-on experience working with fresh flowers and applying the skills they are learning in class.

🌷 Pick up or FREE delivery available within Plains city limits
🌷 Perfect for treating yourself or surprising someone special!

Our subscription is the most affordable way to enjoy fresh flowers throughout the school year while directly supporting our new Floral Design program and putting more flowers in the hands of our students!

Kicking off another year!

Fall Stock Show Sign-Ups

⏰4:30-6pm

Sign-ups will be come and go, beginning 30 minutes before Meet the Teacher and ending at the conclusion of the event.

Feel free to stop by before or after meeting your students’ teachers to complete paperwork and get signed up for the fall livestock shows!

We’re also excited to welcome so many new faces to Plains ISD this year! If your student is interested in showing livestock during the 2026–2027 show season, we’d love to visit with you about the opportunities available through Plains FFA that are open to students of all ages (kinder-senior)!

All exhibitor checks will be mailed by Tuesday, June 9.

FFA Exhibitors: Checks will be mailed directly to the exhibitor's home address.
4-H Exhibitors: Checks will be mailed to your county agent for distribution.

Thank you for being a part of this year's program. We appreciate your hard work and participation and wish you a safe, fun, and wonderful summer ahead!

What an amazing night at our FFA banquet on Tuesday! We are incredibly thankful for everyone who came out to celebrate and support our students. The encouragement we receive from our parents, administration, school board, teachers, and community means so much to our program. We are excited for the year ahead and look forward to continuing to grow, succeed, and create opportunities for our kiddos through FFA!

We are so proud of the seniors and ready watch them create their own path!

Last Monday, members made the quick drive to Brownfield for the Mesa District FFA Spring Meeting. Students were recognized for their CDE accomplishments and had the opportunity to elect new Mesa District officers.

We are especially proud to share that two of our very own chapter officers were selected for district office! Please help us congratulate Ryleigh Mendez and Kelsi Moore as your 2026–2027 Mesa District Treasurer and Chaplain!
