So for the time being Wild Pony’s Child Care will be open in my home. I will be looking into a new building when all the COVID-19 is over.

I will be taking children by appointment only at this time! Limited spaces are available! So please call me to lock in your time and to stop in and pick up your registration form( the registration form will lock you in for when I open up as a drop in center in the near future.(406)499-6048

My hours:
7am to 6pm Monday- Friday
(Other times may be arranged)

Sick Children

Note:
Temp will be taken at drop off for all children.

I am regulated by the health department, and they require I send children home immediately after discovering they are sick.
For your reference, I am required to send children home if they have a fever over 100.4, if they vomit AT ALL, have two incidences of diarrhea, or have a cough that causes vomiting or is distressing to the child. Following these policies greatly helps reduce illness in other children and myself.

Good morning!☀️

I hope you all have had a great week this far and that you have been having fun and enjoying the extra time with your young ones.

Today I have a fun outdoor activity that keeps my boys busy for hours! It’s sidewalk paint. The colors get nice and bright after they dry and you can was it easily off your sidewalk, drive way or porch.

SIDEWALK CHALK PAINT

WHAT YOU NEED
-2 cups Cornstarch
-2 cups Water
-Food Coloring misc. colors
-8 Small Clear Cups
-Paintbrush

DIRECTIONS
In a mixing bowl, combine the water and cornstarch and stir until the cornstarch dissolves and it is smooth. It will be kind of runny.
Divide the mixture evenly into the small plastic cups. Use the food coloring to make a different color paint in each cup.
Use paintbrushes to paint pictures on the sidewalk or driveway outside. The mixture is thinner and runnier than regular paint, but just paint your pictures like you would with any other paint. The paint dries quickly, and it will resemble sidewalk chalk.

Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a great Monday and that your week got started on a good note.
Today I’m going to talk about one of my favorite art projects to do with both my boys but it’s really fun to do it with Sean because he fully gets what to do and he doesn’t need much help anymore. He can just be let go and watching him create is such a wonderful thing for me.

Bubble Painting

This will require some mommy help for the little little ones but Jake is 4 and doesn’t need much help anymore but this can make a mess so I recommend doing this over newspaper or even a towel.

Things you need:

-small plastic containers to hold the paint mixture
-tempera paint in a variety of colors
-liquid dish soap
-water
-straws
-a push pin
-paper

Note: The push pin is for poking a hole in the straw so that a young child can’t drink the paints.

To make the paint solution, I added paint to the bottom of a plastic container. I then added a sq**rt of dish soap and filled the container with a couple of inches of water. You might have to play a little bit to get the best ratio of paint to water to soap.

THE PAINTING PROCESS
The solution should be thin enough so that when the kids blow bubbles into the liquid, the bubbles expand over the top of the container. The kids can lightly press a small piece of paper over the bubbles. This leaves an interesting print on the paper. Add a variety of colors of bubbles to one piece of paper. Kids will enjoy looking at how the colors mix together on the paper.

Remember to let your child or children be involved. Let them blow the bubbles, let them create different colors, help them learn what the primary colors are in a different colors they can create on mixed together. Use this as a learning tool, and just have fun.

Hey everybody sorry for the late post today. I hope you all had a great weekend mine was a little crazy. This afternoon I wanted to bring up an activity that my children absolutely adore. Scavenger hunts. The thing about scavenger hunts as you can pick any kind of object for your kids to find. You can have them indoors, outdoors, have one as you go for a walk, or as they help you clean the house.

In the pictures below there are a few different lists that I have found and used over the years. However, remember that you can make your own lists super easily. You could even turn this into a game of I spy.

Good morning everyone!
It looks like soon... maybe we can start our lives back up. I for one can’t wait. I hope you all have had a great week and that you have an even better weekend.

Anyways, I have a few things I have to do this weekend and I’m not sure if I will be able to post everyday but I will try. However, with that being said this next activity is one of my boys favorite.

Toy painting-

I know it sounds like I let me goes go paint on their toys... no. We use different toys to paint with. Jake likes to use his dinosaur feet to make some pretty cool art. Sean will race his hot wheels and other toy cars and trucks of his paper to see the print the leave.

Other toys to use
- all kinds of animals
- Babies
- Baby dolls
- Toy bugs
- Roll different texture balls
- Legos
Finger paints soon great for this and they are so much fun. You can also give them q-tips, TP cardboard tubes, and cotton balls.

Potato painting-

This one is fun as well and the kids will want to do this again.

What you need
-potatoes
-paint
-paper
-Plate

1: cut potatoes in half
2: cut a design in to the flat in of the 1/2 of potatoes
-stars
- square
You can get really creative if you want to with this.
3: put paint on plate and show your little one how to dip potato in paint and use the potatoes like a stamp on the paper.

Good morning!
I have another great way to have fun with your small children. Sensory Bins! I have to say that this is by far one of my favorite things to do with the boys. They are easy to set up and even my 8 year old had fun doing some of the different ones. Here are a couple that we find fun to do here.

Basic Bins:

Materials:
* Plastic Bin
* Rice/Oatmeal
* Small toys
* Tongs (highly recommended for fine motor skills)

For my basic bin that we are doing today. I am using Oatmeal (witch I use most of the time because alway have a lot on hand), a bag of Army men, and no tongs.

Water Bin

This is Jakes favorite and I set this one up almost every nice day for him.

What you need:
-plastic bin
-water
-food (blue is always Jakes pick)
- different little water animal toys
- big spoon (optional)

Jake will play with water animals for hours in a bin of blue water! It so simple. He also likes warm soap water to clean his hot wheels in.

Flour snow/sand (call it want you want)

What you need

-plastic bin
- 8cups flour
- 1 cup baby oil
- glitter (optional)

Mix all together and you add all kinds of sand toys. Spoons, molds, add rocks, sea shells, or do what Sean loves to do. Add digging trucks into it.

These bins are so much fun for kids, keep them having for an hour or so. You can ask them different questions about animals, textures, colors, and more. It’s a great learning tool.

Hey everyone, I for one can’t wait for all this mess to over with and I know you are all ready for life to get to normal. As soon as that happens it should only be a week or two and I will be able to open the doors to my daycare😃

Anyways, I know right now we are all trying to keep our kids busy and happy. So I though I would throw out some different activities to do at home with your kids every day.

Today let’s talk about shaving cream!! This is by far one of my favorite things to play with. The boys love it and you can do so much with it. Here are a couple ideas😁

Shaving cream paint

A little shaving cream, food coloring, and a paint brush can be so much fun! Try this at bath time or paint the windows ( easy to wash off)

- shaving cream
-food coloring
- 6 spot muffin pan
- paintbrush

My boys like to go in the shower and paint all the walls in the shower before the take their shower it’s fun and keeps them busy for about an hour!

Also for toddlers:

Put shaving cream in gallon bag and put food coloring into bag. Zip closed and tape shut to make sure it doesn’t pop open. Let little one push colors around in bag and mix it. They will have a blast. (Picture below)

Puff Shaving Cream Paint

This is so much fun and so easy to do. ( Might need a few cans of cream because kids want to keep painting)

- shaving cream
- Elmers glue
- food coloring
- glitter (optional)
- paint bushes
- sandwich bags
-paper

1: mix even parts shaving cream to glue

2: Add color and glitter

3: put in bag and cut hole in corner and have fun!

4: or just paint with a brush and have fun!
