We have some very special news to share! This school year is a very important one for Mrs. Anne Johnson, because after an amazing 28 years of teaching, she will be retiring at the end of this school year!
We are so excited to celebrate her all year long with a special theme:

 PEACE OUT, ANNE!

Throughout the year, we’ll be celebrating some of Mrs. Johnson’s “lasts” at our school— And guess what? Picture Day was Mrs. Johnsons’s very first “last” of the school year! So, when you see Mrs. Johnson, be sure to give her a big smile and help us celebrate her very special year!

Thank you, Mrs. Johnson, for 28 years of teaching, helping, encouraging, and caring for students! We’re going to make your final year one to remember!

3rd graders (and their teachers!) had so much fun learning about the history of Plainfield: its founders, the reasoning behind the town’s name, why our mascot is the Quaker, and even the famous President Van Buren prank.

The best part was that students simply stepped outside/next door to see the Van Buren plaque, the Friends Church, and the Western Yearly Meeting historical sign.
