This is pretty cool. I have to think someone could make it.
The ancient fabric that no one knows how to make
Nearly 200 years ago, Dhaka muslin was the most valuable fabric on the planet. Then it was lost altogether. How did this happen? And can we bring it back?

Bad news is my finish-itis has given way to start-itis. Why is this bad? I still have ten WIPs. So there’s that.

I’m just saying, this isn’t wrong . . .

I’m participating in the Fiberuary Challenge 2021 on Instagram. I will try to update over here too!
Prompt: Intro Selfie
Hi, everyone! I’m Courtney, also known as FloofyMoose (a play on my last name). I’ve been knitting since July 2010 and spinning since 2011. I seriously started designing in 2015, mostly shawls and cowls, and one hat. Most I self publish on Ravelry and Payhip, but one pattern I designed for Malabrigo Yarns. I’ve also taught classes and wrote an article for Ply a couple years ago. I basically love sharing my fascination with crafting.
During the day I work as a CPA valuing businesses. At home I have three approximately 10 month old kittens who keep me on my toes. I also have a younger brother with special needs (Moosey) who has been spending more time at my house since the pandemic started.
Here is a selfie I took wearing a signature bold red (sometimes plum) lip. If nothing else, I almost always put on mascara and lipstick.
What day in are you excited for?

All I can think is someone needs to get that lady a yarn bowl.
Two women, one knitting Norwegian lace.
Johanne Mathilde Dietrichson, 1837 - 1921, was a Norwegian painter who also made sculptures and ceramics. She was the first Norwegian woman to receive a formal art education.

Cool local (Avon) vendor: The Earring Shoppe. I got these fun earrings since, you know, I love plaid. Finally, big earrings that aren’t heavy and don’t tug on my ears. She sells on here on Facebook and has her product in at least one local shop (The Fudge Kettle).

I have to say, Treasure Goddess Yarn knocks it out of the park on packaging. Wrapped and then sealed with a sticker, goodies and a general overall feel that is was packaged with love and care. Like a big hug from miles away. I love receiving orders where you can tell thought was put into the packaging and presentation.
Thanks to all my yarnie customers in 2020! I have fun packing every single order and love seeing all the places skeins get to travel to!!

Heads up. I appreciate TFE making the safe choice to cancel in 2021 and can’t wait to see everyone in 2022. Are there any classes you’d like to see me teach in 2022?

I could see Jasmine doing this . . .
Also how we feel trying to get our gift knitting and crocheting finished.

Well that was super fun! YarnByrds (yarn truck) is offering the ability to shop the truck virtually. Owner Robin will walk you around the truck, show you the yarns and help you find the perfect color (or color combination). I shopped with my friend Becky which made it even more fun. Robin is now going to invoice us and then ship out our orders! Perfect!
