1. DO NOT teach or tell a child with autism to stop stimming. It’s how they, emote, express, and regulate themselves.
2. If a child is non verbal, badgering them to speak for simple needs and wants is not okay. Let them point, sound out, or hand over hand with you. It’s how they communicate
3. Some children do like like to be touched. That is okay. What is not okay is telling the parents to teach better manners because a child is refusing hugs, kisses, or physical touch. Allow them their bodies and comfort. Plus there’s nothing more weird than an adult being upset that a CHILD said no to a hug or kiss or being picked up🤗

I want you to feel safe and secure while your child is in our care. I am a mother of 4 and I know how hard it is to trust someone with your child. We are patient kind and we love to let the children express their emotions in a healthy way.
