Brentwood students started the morning with a silent send-off to Plainfield’s first responders, showing their appreciation for all they do for our community and taking time to reflect on 9/11 and the brave first responders who answered the call that day. 🇺🇸

Throughout the day, students participated in a variety of activities to learn more about first responders and better understand the events of September 11, 2001. It was a meaningful opportunity to remember, reflect, and express gratitude for those who serve and protect our communities.

Second graders put their STEM skills to work with the “Save Sam” challenge! Poor Sam fell off his boat and needed a little help getting to safety. Students worked together, using creativity, communication, critical thinking, and collaboration to come up with a solution and save the day. It was a fun, hands-on way to practice problem-solving and teamwork!
