I have been providing childcare since 2005 as well as 14 years experience as a parent. I am Licensed through the State of Illinois DCFS and have met all the health and safety guidelines. I attend many child related classes each year to keep up with new and improved ideas for my daycare. I'm currently working on my associates degree in Child Development. Also, I'm CPR and first aid certified. I have dedicated the whole first floor of my home to our family daycare. Our rooms are bright, open and filled with many activities for your child to learn and explore. Daily activities are well balanced and geared to the needs of the children served. We provide the children with a structured but not strict daily routine. A balance of active and quiet play activities both indoor and outdoor in which children use both small and large muscles. I work hard at preparing every child for kindergarten in a fun and positive environment. Activities include: circle time, arts and crafts, sensory play, music and movement, weekly themed lessons, story time, preschool programs, walks to the nearby park and outdoor activities in my child friendly fenced-in yard and much more. All materials are age appropriate to meet the developmental needs of the children in care. Materials and toys are always kept clean, orderly and accessible to the children. I maintain low teacher to child ratios, so each child can get the attention and individual care to develop and grow to the fullest he or she needs.
