Plainfield Teen Parenting Program Any expectant or parenting mothers and fathers who attend Plainfield High School are eligible to participate in the program.

For over 25 years we have been providing expectant or parenting mothers and fathers that attend Plainfield Public Schools the support they need to in order to graduate from high school and strengthen their parenting skills. The Parent Linking Program provides more than 150 teen parents in 8 schools with the support needed in order for them to graduate high school and strengthen their parenting skills. In exchange for free child care, participants are required to attend weekly groups in addition to the normal academic curriculum required for graduation.

Today our Teen Parenting Program had a wonderful visit to the Plainfield Public Library! 📚✨

We enjoyed a tour of the library’s beautifully renovated spaces, explored the children’s room, and learned about the many resources and services available to families in our community. One of the highlights of the day was that every teen parent—and even the little ones—received their own library card and checked out books to take home!

Reading to your child, even for just a few minutes each day, helps build language skills, supports brain development, and creates special bonding moments that last a lifetime. It’s never too early to begin a love of books and learning.

We encourage all of our families to take advantage of the wonderful programs and services available right here in our community. Thank you to the Plainfield Public Library for welcoming us and helping inspire a new generation of readers!

Teen Dads Matter. 💙

Sometimes it’s the simplest moments that say the most — two young dads sitting with their babies, feeding them, caring for them, and simply being present. 🥰

Being a teen dad can come with challenges, but these young men deserve to know that their role in their child’s life is so important. Their babies need their love, their time, their patience, and their presence.

We are so proud to support our teen dads as they learn, grow, become fathers, and continue working toward their own dreams. Watching them step up and care for their little ones is something truly special. 💙

Fatherhood starts with being there. And these dads are showing up.

What a great night at Plainfield High School! We were so happy to welcome our families, share information about the Teen Parenting Program, and show off our space.

We’re excited for another school year filled with learning, growth, support, and lots of special moments with our teen parents and their little ones. 💙

What a special week for our little Liam!

Liam just celebrated his first birthday on Saturday, and now we’re celebrating another sweet milestone — his first steps in the daycare!

It’s hard to believe how quickly our little ones grow. We feel so lucky to be here to celebrate these special moments with Liam and his mommy.

Our teen parents spent time talking about their future, their goals, and the dreams they have for themselves and their children, and then brought those dreams to life by creating their own vision boards! 🌟💭

We are so lucky to have the opportunity to work alongside YoungLives and have their support and encouragement throughout the year. We truly appreciate the positive impact they have on our teen parents and are excited for all that this year will bring! ❤️

🎉🎂 Happy 1st Birthday, Liam! 🎂🎉

Today was extra special here in our Teen Parenting Program daycare as we celebrated Liam’s very first birthday! 💙🥳

Liam turns ONE on September 19th, and we couldn’t let such a special milestone pass without celebrating with his mommy and all of his daycare friends! 🎈🧁💙

There’s something so sweet about watching our little ones grow right before our eyes—from their very first days with us to their first birthdays, first steps, first words, and all the little moments in between. 🥹✨

We are so grateful to be part of these special memories and to celebrate not only our children, but also our teen parents, who are learning, growing, and creating beautiful memories with their little ones along the way. ❤️

💙 Community Kindness in Action! 💙

Today, we were once again reminded that it truly takes a village! A HUGE thank you to Cecily C. King for her incredibly generous donation to our Teen Parenting Program! 🥰

Cicely brought us diapers, wipes, baby toys, and so many other baby essentials that will go directly to supporting our teen parents and their little ones. 👶🧸🍼

What makes her kindness even more special is that she supports our program simply because she can. No big reason, no recognition needed—just a genuine desire to help young families in our community. ❤️

Cicely, please know how much we appreciate you! Every box of diapers, every package of wipes, every toy, and every little item makes a difference. Your generosity helps us remind our teen parents that their community is behind them. 💙

What a GREAT first week back at school! 🎉📚

And honestly… this is what it’s all about! ❤️ Watching one of our little ones laughing, smiling, and having SO much fun in the daycare is the sweetest reminder of why we do what we do. 🥹🧸💕

Our Teen Parenting Program isn’t just about getting back into school routines — it’s about creating a place where our teen parents and their children can learn, grow, laugh, play, and make memories together.

Today we celebrate Melissa , a 2023 graduate of the Plainfield High School Teen Parenting Program, and her amazing son, Dariel! 🥹💙

It feels like just yesterday that we watched Melissa work hard, overcome challenges, and proudly walk across the graduation stage—with Dariel right by her side. And now, look at them! Dariel is growing, learning, and getting ready to take his next big step into Pre-K! 📚🚌✨

Watching our teen moms graduate and then watching their little ones reach these milestones is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. ❤️

💗 From one graduation to another milestone! 🎓✨

We love watching our Teen Parenting Program families grow! In 2023, we proudly celebrated Karla as she graduated from high school. Today, we get to celebrate another special milestone—her daughter Hayley is 3 years old and getting ready for preschool! 🥹💕

It feels like just yesterday we were watching little Hayley grow up in our program, and now she’s ready for her next big adventure! 🚌📚🎨

Karla, we are so proud of the amazing mom you’ve become and of all you have accomplished. And Hayley, we can’t wait to see all the wonderful things you’ll learn and do in preschool! 🌟

From teen mom to graduate… and from baby to preschooler. What an incredible journey! ❤️
