There are just a few days left in the 2026 Monarch Blitz!

From now through Sunday, help us find monarch butterflies! How many observations of monarch butterflies and milkweed plants can you share between now and the end of Sunday, Aug. 9?

Your observations provide a valuable snapshot of the monarch butterfly activity during one of their peak breeding periods. Don’t miss this opportunity to have fun outdoors with family and friends while helping provide data for monarch community science.

Mondays and Wednesdays at Cooper Academy! We have a few spots left for this fall. If you are looking for a safe, caring, and engaging homeschool support program we may be the right fit for your family. We also offer a stand alone Fri-Yay program for families looking to enrich their own established homeschool programs. Additionally, our SunRaise Academy partnership allows us to provide educational opportunities for students through 12th grade.

As I chatted this morning with a fellow homeschool mom I was reminded about why what we do here at Cooper Academy is so important for our community. Years ago I discovered in the worst way imaginable that public education didn't work for my son. I decided that together we would jump ship and dive into homeschooling. Along the way I was lucky enough to meet so many amazing families on their own journeys and homeschooling for their own reasons and it sparked a curiosity in me. What if I could create a place for students with minds of all kinds to connect and learn together in a safe and nurturing environment? I was fortunate to work with Natalie who, like me, strives to fill the niches our community is missing and together we made this dream a reality.
