During this percussion-specific course, participants will learn the foundational techniques related to all aspects of percussion education. Andy Gagnon and Andrew Palumbo are percussionists/educators who both play and teach at various locales around Vermont. This is an amazing opportunity to work with BOTH of them at once!

1 Day/1 Credit
Tuesday, August 1st
Andy Gagnon and Andrew Palumbo will give a day-long refresher and reboot on all things percussion - playing techniques, teaching methods, materials and pedagogy approaches.

2 Days/2 Credits
Tuesday, August 1st & Thursday August 3rd
In addition to Day 1 outlined above, earn another graduate credit by putting this all to use! With other participants, you will apply your knowledge by performing percussion compositions and exercises

We have three fantastic in-person courses lined up for you with the option of graduate credit or recertification hours for each.

Join us for Conversational Solfege Level 1 & 2 Certification Course. Taught by FAME past-president, Betsy Greene, this course runs from July 10-14 in Burlington, VT.

The following week (July 17-20), we are excited to host a brand new course taught by Brian Boyes and Stefanie Weigand in Duxbury, VT. Approaches to Popular Music Education: An Action-Based Seminar & Practicum will give participants hands-on experience to bring right back to their own classrooms.
