So, Facebook reminded me that I have not posted in awhile. I created this board as a resource as well as community support for parents. Please reach out if you have questions or there are topics that you would like addressed. I am not an expert! I am a parent of three with learning disabilities, both dyslexia and ADHD. I struggled and tried my best to help my different learners and know how difficult it can be.

As my Dyslexic child heads off to college, Here is an article on various things to consider. He now has to advocate for himself and his learning needs. I am finding it stressful but know that he has the tools he needs and should reach out to the university for resources they have that can help/.

Time will be provided each month at the Ohio Dyslexia Committee meeting for the voices of parents and individuals with dyslexia. The Ohio Dyslexia Committee meets the last Tuesday of every month. Email [email protected] to indicate interest in participating during the next meeting.

This spoke to me today. It’s specific to Dyslexia but its intention can apply to so many. These kids may not have an easy go of it in school but they have amazing gifts and we have to help them realize it!!
