🏅 Honoring our State Champions and JA Record Holders! 🏃‍♂️‍➡️

Last Wednesday, Mayor of Plain City Jody Carney proudly presented Certificates of Appreciation to four outstanding Jonathan Alder Local School District student-athletes in recognition of their incredible achievements on the track.

Congratulations to Lincoln Wilson, Ian Odell, Mark Goode, and Jake Goode, whose boys 4×800-meter relay team captured the OHSAA Division III State Championship, crossing the finish line in 7:48.46 to earn gold medals and stand atop the state podium. In the process, the team also set a new Jonathan Alder school record.

The accolades didn't stop there:
🥇 Mark Goode also earned All-Ohio honors with a 5th-place finish in the 1600-meter run, setting a new Jonathan Alder school record with a time of 4:17.47.

🏃 Lincoln Wilson added to an incredible season by finishing 10th in the 1600-meter run and 16th in the 3200-meter run at the state meet.

🏆 Ian Odell also earned a podium finish with a 7th-place finish in the 800-meter run, crossing the line in a personal-best time of 1:54.86.

This remarkable accomplishment is a testament to the dedication, perseverance, and sportsmanship of these young athletes. Plain City is incredibly proud of the way you've represented our community on Ohio's biggest stage. 👏
